As a fan of Japanese culture and food, I decided to give a go to the Beginners course offered by Reiko! She is a very patient and organised chef who taught us how to cook some exquisite meals. The food and ingredients all had very good quality and the group enjoyed eating it after each session. Highly recommend, especially if... More

Loved everything, from the beautiful kitchen to the result of our work. Reiko is a very friendly teacher/chef, gave us lots of tips about how to prepare sushi, nagiri, miso soup and how to cut sashimi. All the materials were very fresh and good quality and at the end of the class we enjoyed a generous lunch together and a... More

this was a 50th birthday present from colleauges as they know that I love sushi and sashimi. I learned so much in the four hour experience with Reiko who clearly loves what she does. If you like cooking, I highly recommend this

It was my hen do so people were coming from out of London and due to tube strikes, most were late but Reiko was most understanding and accommodating. Her session about making different types of sushi was thorough but not complicated. Everyone went home and tried it out for their families with the starter kit she gave us. She even... More

Thoroughly enjoyable! I looked forward to the class each week, and after the first class my family also looked forward to what I was going to have a go at replicating at home. The ingredients were easy to find and the recipes were straight forward so 'home cooking' is an accurate description of the course. The other participants were a... More

Reiko's class was excellent for a beginner to Japanese Cooking, it gives you the confidence to try her recipes at home and the instruction is so good, you can't go wrong. Fabulous atmosphere, great tasting food - thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have attended 3 of Reiko's cooking courses and they were all great, especially the Beginners course which featured many of my utterly favourite dishes. Reiko is warm, friendly and accommodated changes by offering other class if was unable to attend a certain class. A lovely way to spend an evening, chopping, cooking and eating in great company, highly recommended!

At each class, only six of us, we chopped, watched, cooked and at the end ate our tasty lesson. Bliss. Familiar supermarket ingredients are changed into new fresh tastes. Throughout Reiko gave us clear instructions and certainly has refined my chopping skills. Loved the lessons and now cook most of the dishes at home. My teenage children devour the food,... More

I attended the Gourmet Sushi & Sake Master Class, with reasonable familiarity with Japanese culture, some basic experience of preparing the cuisine, but lacking the confidence that only demonstration followed by hands-on practice under a watchful expert eye can build. The emphasis was rightly on fundamentals (beginning with getting the rice right) rather than whizz-bang presentation, and the vibe was... More

DAY 1 : Great, Affordable, funny, healthy, easy and tasty! This course is excellent for everyday cooking. We've made 4 dishes in about 1!! It's so easy and cheap that I'll cook some this weekend for sure! Good atmosphere and friendly staff, as always
