I received the beginners course at Hashi cooking as a birthday present.. And what a present! 4 relaxing classes, in the comfort of Reiko's kitchen, learning the basic and fundamental first steps of Japanese cooking. Reiko is a fantastic teacher and host and it's a pleasure eating that delicious food together after the class. I couldn't recommend this more to... More

This is an impressive beginners guide to sushi with clear and thorough teaching. There is a perfect balance between demonstration and participation and of course eating! I would happily recommend this.

I was looking for a class, where I really learn all about Sushi and Sashimi from the beginning. I wanted more than just rolling one Suhsi roll on the own, so my decision to book the course was completely right. A course for everyone who wants to feel able to make Sushi after the class on the own!

A friend and I were looking to gain new skill in Japanese cooking for a new business. We had 3 days with Reiko which we're most enjoyable and invaluable for the knowledge we obtained. I would recommend hashi cooking to any one slightly interested in sushi and Japanese cooking from the basics to more complicated techniques.

Excellent! Reiki is a great chef and very friendly. She teaches you everything from ingredients to how to make sushi. She ensures everyone makes it properly and her advices are very useful. I hardly recommend it and it's really good value for money. Looking forward to attend to another class!

I recently attended the Sunday Gourmet Sushi and Sashimi class. I love eating this food and after a recent trip to Japan decided it was time to learn how to make it myself. Reiko's class hit the nail on the head in this respect, her approach is instructive and to the point and this helps take the "mystery element" out... More

My wife and I attended a Gourmet Sushi and Sake course last Sunday and we were both delighted with the class. Reiko is clearly an accomplished chef and had prepared an interesting and eclectic menu of sushi flavours and toppings, from marinated sea bass (made fresh that morning) to salmon roe with quail's egg. After following Reiko's example we made... More

I was taken to Hashi cooking for a sushi and sashimi class for my birthday present. It was a really lovely day. Reiko welcomed us into her home, and provided a very professional, personal, and useful class. I learnt so much more than I thought I would, and the class was very accessible, going at a pace that suited everyone.... More

Have wanted to learn how to make sushi for some time and found this through Trip Advisor reviews! Have only previously done cooking courses whilst on holiday abroad so it was a novelty to do this within the UK. It is not cheap at £125 each but you are there for a full four hours and you learn to make... More
