If you are only able to see one musical during your trip to London, I'd really recommend this one. The two main characters were singing on stage most of the time and the song "Defying gravity" was so impressive it gave me goose bumps.

Having seen a lot of West End shows this had been on the list for a while, but kept getting pushed back for something else. I have to say I wished I hadn't left it so long!. My wife and I went with our 8 year old daughter and we all loved it! I fell in love with the songs... More

went to the Saturday matinee of this show. My goodness what voices the two main stars had. I had goosebumps! The story is well thought out and the songs are fab especially Gravity. That part of the show was spectacular. The end of the end of the show was very well thought out and I felt the tears welling up.... More

Took my niece and was surprised how much I enjoyed it!!, great story well acted by a bright young caste , it was interesting to see how the two stories were woven together and made for an interesting show.

Such a great show. I have wanted to see this for ages, after having read the book about nine years ago, I was not let down. I want to come back and see it again! Thank you for entertaining me in such an amazing way. If you are in doubt - go see this show (See separate review re theatre)

I went to the performance on 23rd March. Considering I'm not a big fan of musicals I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the performance and particularly the way the Wizard of Oz story was reinterpreted. The sets and lighting were top notch and on the whole the performances were great. BUT there were periods when the music drowned... More

I have seen Wicked on Broadway in New York City. Now I have had the pleasure of seeing Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theater in London. The show was great, and the theater was very nice as well. I would highly recommend this show to anyone visiting London.

First time of seeing the show, tickets purchased as a birthday gift for my partner. Saw the matinee on 21st March 2015. What stood out for me...were... lead performer playing Elphaba - amazing; could not fault her, her voice during The Wizard & I and Defying Gravity moved me to tears. Stand-in for Glinda, again played the part exceptionally well.... More

I saw the broadway performance of wicked in 2012, since I liked it very much I decided to see it in London last year as well. The Theatre was ok but it lacked the atmosphere of the theatre in New York and the performance was good but not as excellent as the broadway performance, still a great musical.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
