My friend had her wedding here at St Etheldreda's Church, the oldest Catholic church in London. Only a small church, it was the perfect setting for friends and family who travelled from all four corners of the globe. In the midst of old London, it is tucked away in a blink and you miss it sideroad, quiet and intimate. A... More

A gem of a place, the Bishop of Ely's pre-Reformation medieval chapel now back with the Catholic Church so a huge rarity for that reason. Britain's oldest Catholic Church, built in the 1300's. The Crypt is so tranquil, one can only imagine all the history it has seen. Take the time to study all the stories told on the windows. Do some reading on St. Etheldreda's life and the history associated with the martyrs of Tyburn to understand a lot of the pictures. More
