Went to see Andy Saltzman an as a surprise date night. Andy was hilarious as always. Had drinks and a quick dinner here prior to the show. A great time!

We went to the kids stand up comedy show. It wasn't funny and in poor taste. Lots of people left during the show. Not recommended.

Nice venue for a couple of drinks in the sunshine. Relaxed festival feel in the middle of London. Spent an hour here whilst walking along the Southbank early afternoon. Came back later in the evening and although much busier was still able to get served quickly but atmosphere not as pleasant. Food & rubbish all over the floor.

Simply terrible. Not at all funny. Comedians acting as role models for young children by suggesting killing animals and urinating over people is the right behaviour to show a 6 year old. No wonder some families walking out half way through. Bearing in mind this in central London the calibre of the acts was really poor.

Went there for drinks in the sunshine. Fair enough it was Friday afternoon dinner time and the place filled up quickly. However after a short time it came overfilled with many people camped out on the artificial grass making getting to and for difficult. After sharing a jug of Pimms we decided on another one. The main bar areas were... More

Plenty going on & a great atmosphere, a variety of food on offer. Nicely decorated & something different to do. We saw the Best of the Comedy Store show and found it very funny, would definitely recommend.

This highly rated show (Double R) is actually highly overrated. While there were some impressive performances, overall it was self-consciously 'cool', so cool as to be positively regressive. After all, what's new, interesting, edgy or even surreal, about women stripping or being victimised? With the exception of the amazing hair acrobat, every femal was depicted or depicted themselves as the object,... More

Lovely atmosphere with a few drinks and sunshine on Southbank. Drinks are a bit pricey but that's to be expected due to the great location. Lots of food stalls and things to see just outside Udderbelly so you could definitely spend the best part of a day there. Just make sure you research the shows properly cos some are really... More

- the quirky outdoor beer garden is a great option on a warm day/evening with lots food and drink stalls. - the shows are typically great. This year we saw an acrobatic show and last year, a quirky standup performance. Really enjoyed both - unusual venue & lots of fun. Highly recommended. See photos of my visit on Twitter @mrrands

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
