Really impressed with our visit to this pub, it's right in the heart of the city and the quality of beer and food is excellent. Lots of people taking pics from the outside constantly, so if you put up with that you will love the place. A true British pub

Visited Wednesday evening with a couple of colleagues. They have a system downstairs where you get a table, give your number when ordering food and pay, they serve. Upstairs is full service. Meal prices same in both. No space downstairs so went up. But of an odd conversation about whether we could be fitted in. Only two tables of about... More

This is the second time we have visited the Sherlock Holmes pub. The beer is nice and the cider is too! £13.00 for 4 drinks so it was a bit pricy but after being in the capital for a couple of days we were expecting this! The food looks stunning though we did not eat here... It has 5* food... More

For a "theme" restaurant, the food was decent. Very large portion of fish & chips. Not the best I had in London, but certainly not the worst. Sit upstairs so you can see the creepy living room of Sherlock Holmes.

I love the Sherlock Holmes books. They're probably my favorite piece of literature. So after visiting Baker Street earlier in the day we made our way to this pub for dinner. Yes, it's a bit of a gimmick as they're capitalizing on the "Sherlock Holmes" name. But I don't care. I enjoyed eating here. The food was good and it... More

Popped in there for a pint whilst in London. Quite pricey as you'd expect. Expect to pay around £4ish for a pint at least which is typical for central london. We had the house ale which was ok. Lots of Sherlock holmes memorabilia around as you'd expect, and quite busy. Has character at least

My friend & I travelled up from the South Coast to London to have lunch/afternoon tea. I have been to The Sherlock Holmes Pub several times but my friend hadn't & her niece is a "Sherlock" fan so some photos were going to be taken. We sat outside as it was a lovely day & were able to people watch... More

My friend and I saw the place across the street and were immediately intrigued. On entry, we were served drinks. As with every other pub in existence, we sat down, expecting a fair period of time to finish our drinks before they started closing up. But as soon as we sat down the music went off, lights went up and... More

Best chips of my life. The staff is lovely and the pub is definitely a must see for Sherlockians/Holmesians.

We went lateish on a Saturday night for a quick pint. There was quite a crowd by the bar, but we got served quickly. Nice atmosphere, and quiet enough to hear what you are saying to each other.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
