We took 2 grandchildren there recently and considered the experience very over priced particularly for young children. The consequence is that the Zoo is an almost exclusively middle class preserve in a Borough with a significant amount of deprivation. The animal side is rather limited and children seem most attracted to the substantial play area. Ironically there is an excellent... More

i spent a morning with my family in battersea park children zoo, it was too small with few animals, my daughter was happy with the playing area, but i don't think we will return again,it doesn't worth the trip.

I would describe the place as more like a collection of adventure playgrounds with some animal enclosures in between. Plenty of slides and climbing frames for children as well as monkeys, donkeys, meerkats etc. Lots of coin operated attractions as well. Very good for 4-10 year olds. Main issue is it is a very long walk (~30 min) from Battersea... More

We arrived at the zoo at opening time of 10am. We were staying in Kensington and got on a bus either 49, 374) to travel to Battersea Park as there wasn't a suitable option. We used our anytime travel card so the bus was free. There are at least 2 buses that go that way. The bus journey was quick... More

This children's venue is ideal for 3 to 8 year olds. With a good mix of animals and a play area , cafe etc. everything to keep children amused for most of the day till their energy runs out. Easily accessible by public transport. Bit crowded in school holidays.

I love this zoo because it has the otters closest to our home <3 <3 It is well-run, with the animals clearly extremely well cared-for. Fantastic facilities and educational descriptions of all the inhabitants, and a lovely shop. Love this zoo and very happy to support it.

We went to the Children's Zoo at Battersea Park this afternoon and really enjoyed it, more to the point my six year old daughter loved it. We were there for 4 hours and she still wasn't ready to leave! I think it's wonderful that the zoo area combines both the zoo and lovely playground areas as well as great sand... More

Our grand children loved this place. We came early in the morning and spent half our day here. The animals are cute and very friendly. My grand daughters are 6 years old, but I recommend this place for families with younger kids too.

This is a small zoo and it's appropriate for little children. There is a playground. I went with my 1 year-old daughter and she was very happy to see the monkeys and the hens. it's a great place to spend couple of hours. There is a cafeteria and vending machines. The facilities for puschairs and buggies are very good.

Visited here recently with my wife and 3yr old Grandson and must admit I didn`t expect much. What a surprise we got. What a wonderful place for children and adults! The cost is resonable for London and the UK in general and very handily they will stamp your hand so you can explore the larger park and return at your... More
