Oh dear!

The Trocadero used to be a great place. Great location with great shops, boutiques and stalls and open 'til silly o'clock. Sadly, over the years it has slowly (and surprisingly... read more

There are a few small tourist shops still open in the entrance passage but the main event is now shut. Don't make a special journey unless you wanted to go to one of the 8 or so small stores that are there. Lots of other great things to see in London!!!

I used to go here a lot a few years ago, loving every second there in the arcades and watching movies at the cinema. It was like paradise, so much that I visited with my whole family for my birthday and it was a great time. Years passed, and it was expensive and physically exhausting to get on a train... More

I took my 6 year old son to visit the trocadero as it was a place I spent many a day enjoying the games and rides of segaworld and the various arcades and shops but when I walked in the main entrance I was shocked. Apart from a coffee shop and a generic tourist souvenir shop selling the usual tat... More

The idea of the Trocadero is to collect both shops, entertainment (gaming halls with arcade machines) and some eateries - the focus has always been on teenagers and when the place has felt like most ok, it has been likened to a large 'bubble gum'! Today, only one big anticlimax left and it contains absolutely NOTHING of interest - not... More

A very disappointing place. It seems to be aimed mainly at the tourist trade, with little to offer in the way of something worth seeing. It is not worth the time going. Surely something better could be done with this site.

The Trocadero used to be a great place. Great location with great shops, boutiques and stalls and open 'til silly o'clock. Sadly, over the years it has slowly (and surprisingly) declined into the big white elephant that it is today. How can such a great space in such a prime location be mismanaged to the point of extinction? Now only... More

But yes TOKYO TOYS IS OPEN!! and another anime shop next to it too!! Fingers crossed something good will come of this... Unfortunately RIPLEYS is still there!!

Dragged across London in the pouring rain to get to the Trocadero and let me daughter enjoy the arcade, Japanese hi tech toy shop and grab a burger and what do we find? The place closed down some time ago and is now populated by shops selling junk, tat and cheap souvenirs!! The website fails to mention that the place... More

A little hard to find as its underneath Piccadilly train station but wow wow wow for £5 each you get to choose from a list of 23 films that each last about 7 mins. You are given glasses and seated in a room that holds up to 4. Its the most incredible experience there is wind blowing, you are jolted... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
