As a teacher I went with my high school students for a two hour tour with Karim from Street Art London Tours. It was really great and Karim had a natural way of connecting with the young students. It was a high speed tour de force of the London (Shortridge) underground grafitti scene and it was obvious that Karim knew... More

Even though the weather was gloomy, I really enjoyed myself on this tour! It was really informative and detailed and Karim (our tour guide for that day) knew what he was talking about. It was really nice to know about the graffiti/ street artists in more detail and the reasoning to why they did some of their works/ placement of... More

Really great tour with awesome and very proficient guide. If you're interested in getting some insight in the street art scene or just contemporary art in general here you should definitely go.

The right amount of context and background to flesh out the visual experience of graffiti/street art, a great way to see this neighborhood. Postulated interesting questions: when does vandalism become art? Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the work done in his area and the artists that were active there. Would love to go again another time. A great... More

From the start to the end this was a great tour. Karim, our guide, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Street Art artists he took us to see and we were shown some that you would walk past and not notice. With a brisk walk between sites Karim spent time explaining the different techniques used and the artists background.... More

Sara has shown us a selection of the current street art in East London. She talked with passion and knowledge. It was great to learn about the history of street art, the different techniques and the evolution. During the rest of our visit in London, we discovered pieces of art that we wouldn't have noticed without the tour. Great experience,... More

I attended the Shoreditch tour on a Thursday morning with Emiliano. I am a long-time fan of street art, and never having been to London before, I wanted a tour that would show me some of the best pieces I'd otherwise miss. Emiliano's tour did not disappoint. He was patient and did a nice job explaining the history of street... More

Highly recommended! Packed tour of wide variety of art with masses of detail on techniques & background. Real eye-opener! You could repeat this again as the wall art changes week on week. One notable aspect .. it's a brisk walk between sites, short distances but the speed keeps you warm, much appreciated!

Street are (sometimes known as graffiti) is an art in London with a number of known artists and their own set of rules. it's a free tour where the guide makes money on tips and our guide was quite knowledgeable. Well, i live in London; but most of the things I always pass by where out of my understanding and observation. Doing this tour was amazing, discovering hidden places, noticing hidden pieces of art, appreciating the mos evident. Very recommended.

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighborhood Profile
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.
