Very pleasant gated gardens right in the heart of Bloomsbury. Also serves as a short cut from Russell Square Underground to British Museum, Holborn. Lots of great restaurants nearby and beautiful hotels too. Great stroll after dinner and a water fountain in the centre for the kids to play.

Nice small gardens in the center of London however we stayed in this location on our last visit to London and at all times day and night those with alcohol and drug dependency frequented this park giving it an unsafe feeling for the kids. That said I would recommend staying in this area within walking distance of Covent garden.

Using the Piccadilly line to get to the British Museum, you get off and can walk through this nice park in London. It has a Gelato shop so you know this is really a high quality park. The greenery and fountain are nice and the trees are lovely. Its a very nice place to rest from the city.

There is a contrast if you come to the Square during the week when people are mainly using it as a short cut. On a Sunday, one could appreciate the fountain, bird life, young mothers taking their toddlers for walks to explore nature and the dog lovers out for a stroll. The autumn colours are appearing and it is a... More

Lovely cafe that sells coffees, beer, cake and some main meals, aswell as Italian ice cream. Maybe take cash as the card machine was broken when we went. The park it's self is very green and spacious, great for picnics or relaxing with friends or family. Great in the summer!

Russell Square is one of the many beautiful little parks located around London. As soon as you step through the gates, you can feel the peacefulness! It has multiple bus routes, cafés and restaurants lining the surrounding streets, there’s even a café within the parks boundaries. I could easily sit in this park for hours and watch the world go... Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
