Russell Square is a lovely and quiet square surrounded by lots of greenery. There are many trees, flora and plants, nice grasses, beautiful water fountain in the park square and people can be seen jogging or strolling with some even with their pets. The square is just directly opposite to my hotel (President Hotel, you may like to read my... More

Somehow overlooked by tourists (but not byb locals), this is a great square with a lot of green space to explore and stroll in. While the park tends to get a bit iffy after dark, it's perfectly lovely during the day for a short stroll. There's a Tube station nearby, which makes the place very accessible.

On our four day visit to London we breakfasted in the Russell Square cafe each day. We also walked through it several times on our way to and from various sights. We loved the leafy greenery, the birds, the fountain and the people walking their dogs. A great start to the day.

This small green space just off the main road is a lovely place to relax. The grassed areas and gardens are well laid out with a water feature in the centre and feels larger than it really is. There is plenty of room to sit on the grass and there are a limited number of bench seats. It is popular... More

Friends of Russell Square pitch their tent close to the entry and sell books and are a wealth of information. The park covers the four corners of once small block and is very nice. Not only is it a well maintained park, a crossing point for many people making their way through the city, but a landmark for may tourists... More

Russell Square is a great park for families, pleasant and green. A cafe in one corner--haven't eaten there but people look happy. Lots of kids playing games on the weekends.

There are several small city parks in Bloomsbury, providing green space to enjoy during leisure and break time. Of these, Russell Square is the largest and probably the best option for visitors, particularly those who have finished their visit to the nearby British Museum and are in need of a nice place to rest their feet. Russell Square was built... More

Spent a morning relaxing and looking at all the flowers. The little cafe had lovely cake and other treats. A great way to relax before heading off to my flight.
