Birds and other animals in the park were exciting for my 3-year old daughter. But after a one hour experience with these exciting animals and landscape around, she started to ask me where the playground was. Unfortunately there was not a playground in the Russel Square. But there was a cafe, a bad one! Salads, sandwiches and especially tea and... More

Great place to take a few moments to relax. Well worth a stroll to if you're at Euston, the British Museum or one of the many local hotels.

Lovely green space with a fountain for the kids to splash in. Good if you are in the area to see the British Museum and want a quiet place to contemplate, but not something you need to make an effort to see. Just a nice local park.

This park is quite cool with benches around the outside and a tiny fountain in the middle where kids can play when its hot and run around whilst having Japanese and other indo-asian tourists take photos of things around you and choir groups sitting down in a circle, amongst other things included. It's like a mini Hyde Park. There is... More

Worst coffee and service I've had in a very long time. Undrinkable brew and arrogant manager - not a good combo.

really nice place in middle of the city. I go to Russell Square almost everyday for lunch when it is sunny as my work place is just next door. The italian café in the park is nice too but can get very busy during lunch time.

This park is relatively close to Holborn station and (of course) Russell Square Station. There is a little restaurant in one corner of the park which serves tea, coffee and other food items including an assortment of pastries. The park is often dotted with students and families sitting on the grass with children and dogs. Nice place to read and... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
