I have been to Vinopolis many years ago and came back with my boyfriend for date night and was disappointed at how things had changed. There is a briefing at the start of your journey and then you are free to walk yourself around sections of the Vinopolis space that is sectioned off into reds, whites, champaign etc. There are... Having never of had any wine tasting experience this had to be an amazing start into a new area I wanted to explore. Vinopolis is a huge spacial area with large ceasing oozing lots of information. When you first walk in you have a mini lecture where somebody will tell you how to wine taste. The lecture lasted about 15... More

Visited with a couple of girl friends. Had a fun afternoon but mainly as I had good company. I thought £38 for what we got in terms of wine was poor value. I tried a couple of "one token" wines - one was poor the other smelt of dog wee & didn't taste too great. So I decided to stick... More

I visited Vinopolis with a group of friends in May 2015. We had a fabulous evening. Meeting up in Vinoplis Bar Blue, we chatted over drinks before proceeding to a theatre style room for an interesting and informative talk by a wine expert. We then chatted happily as we made our way through into the wine tasting areas. We were... More

Book a visit if you enjoy an impersonal vending machine experience. We are sat in the champagne bar where we paid for champagne because the system is down...We have 10 credits a piece left on our cards and we are going home. This is NOT a wine tasting experience, it's a travesty.

Visited with my daughter, You get to taste a wine and have a short lesson about what to look for and taste by a professional. Then you are let lose to taste wines of your choice. We spent a relaxing 3 hours there and it went in a flash. A very enjoyable visit and something very different to experience.

We took part in The Sunday experience--for £39 you get a lovely two course lunch, followed by an easy lesson on how to taste wines then in to the tasting experience--the 7 vouchers gave me 7 tastings but my wife with more expensive tastes only had 2 then bought more!! It was great fun-a great way to spend 3 or... More

We spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and clearly knew what they were talking about. The briefing to start was very useful as you were shown how to test and taste the wine. Once in the tasting experience, the range of wines was fantastic, with other spirits on offer. The interactive elements... More

We went to Vinopolis for our anniversary, and we loved it! The wines were fantastic and one of the guides Matt was brilliant. Matt took the time to talk us through the different wines and tasting notes, and recommended some great varieties as well as imparting his knowledge of wine regions upon us. Also worth noting that even though the... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
