Owner description: Far beneath the majesty and splendor of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protegee Christine Daae is so strong that even her heart cannot resist. The musical opened at Her Majesty's Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. Now in its 26th record-breaking year, The Phantom of the Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End, after more than 10,000 performances. Andrew Lloyd Webber's mesmerizing score along with jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life each night.

From the moment it begins you are spellbound. I've read some of the negative reviews and have to laugh at them. I think someone said its a show for chavs and another said its not like the opera, lol to those. It's not an opera its a musical story about an opera house. The story is told very well and the... Brilliant! Wanted to go for years and it didn't disappoint. Learn the music before you go, it makes for a more magical experience. Enjoy!

The show was amazing! Fantastic music and sets etc. A hint that might be handy is that I saw this as a Thursday matinee in late January, having booked my tickets early as a "discount" from Get into London Theater. However, a lot of the seats were empty and tickets were being sold on the door for a much lower... More

I was treated to a weekend in London including a trip to the theatre. Phantom of the opera has to be one of the most memorable theatre shows ive seen out of the many. The scenery, and chandelier are amazing. Would definitely recommend, and probably would like to see it again in the future.
