We visited with our dog to this part of London and we were all made to feel very welcome. Stopped for a coffee in Shepherds Market and they provided a bowl of water for our pooch too. Lovely boutique shops to browse and traditional English pubs.

Mayfair is one of the most expensive areas to live in one of the most expensive cities in the world. There are residences, embassies, hotels and restaurants in Mayfair making it a place to get everything you need while visiting London. But it is also a great jumping off point to visit other parts of the city..

we loved staying in Mayfair! The palace and Green park were very close. The neighborhood is pristine and quiet. Would definitely do it again.

If shopping in the Marble Arch end of Oxford Street take a walk through Mayfair, casinos abundant, check out the super cars parked on the streets and look at the old buildings. Designer shops scattered around.

A quiet and very sristocratic neighborhood, one of the most beautiful in London. You will find yourselves admiring the architecture of the buildings, for some inconceivable for me reason, far from the touristic crowds. You can find restaurants and bar but you have to look for them. Recommended!

Art galleries, top restaurants, night clubs, high end retailers, advertising agencies, luxury office buildings, a nice square, cafes, etc. It is a luxurious area with a lot of life and many interesting things to see, close to Piccadilly.

Mayfair was the most expensive property to land on when playing the UK version of Monopoly and it is still a very luxurious area with masses of architectural character and interest. To my knowledge there are over 60 pubs in this area so if you walk around you will never be short of a drink or food. Of course noteable... More

Mayfair is by far one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in London. In the center of the city, it houses some of the best residences, hotels, restaurants, shops, etc. Extremely expensive, it is an area where luxury abounds. Worth visiting just to walk through and take in the beauty. Highly recommended for shopping and eating too. It also is home... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
