Visited on a Sunday, arriving around 11am. No queue which was nice. Had a 2for1 voucher, so good value, otherwise quite expensive. Stayed here for 4 hours, had a lovely day. Plenty to see and do. Plenty of refreshments available and nice picnic area. Nice walk through regents park to get there.

I attended a Zoo Lates event at London Zoo, my first visit, expecting a great zoo after hearing a lot about its successful breeding and conservation programs. The enclosure for the giraffes looked incredibly small, and I found the same with the zebras, okapi and gorillas. The giraffes were walking around in circle out of sheer boredom, which was upsetting... More

I now remember why I prefer safari parks. There is something sad about large animals in small enclosures. Having said that, the Zoo has improved over the years and is much more chils friendly. The shows are good and informative. The eating and other refreshment stalls ood. It is quite expensive, but there are deals to be had. If you... More

I visited ZSL yesterday with my niece, and my sisters and another under 3. The children were so excited to go to the zoo. To be so disappointed when we got there to half of the animals half asleep. My niece spent a majority of the time shouting "wake up animals, wake up" I didn't blame the 2 yr old.... More

London Zoo is a great place to go for a day out. Not one of the cheapest but when you consider hoe many animals there are there it's not too bad. We got a deal with the trainline so we got 2 for 1 on our tickets which saved about £25! It was very busy as you would expect for... More

What a shame. This could be such a lovely zoo. Lovely location up by Primrose Hill and large site but not many animals. More money needs investing in the animals and their homes, appears in need of updating and more thought. Nothing to make me go wow! Very samey. Couldn't see much of Tigers or Gorillas. The restaurant is however... More

Starting point is that I don't like zoos but having gone to howletts a couple of years ago and quite enjoyed it we thought we'd treat our granddaughter to a day out seeing for real the animals she sees in our African photos. We were quite frankly horrified by the size of the areas the animals were kept in. I... More

The penquin exhibit/pool lacked penquins. The aquatic house where a segment of what I was told Harry Potter movie was filmed with a talking snake - was in very poor shape. I was surprised to see the neglect that bldg had. Laid out nicely - nice walk on a nice day. I love gorillas and they have a splendid exhibit.... More
