Probably the world's most famous zoo, ZSL London Zoo has been entertaining and delighting visitors since it opened to the public in 1847. With over 720 animal species, exciting and innovative new exhibits and heritage-listed building almost as famous as their inhabitants it's a great day out.See animals in a different light at Rainforest Life; get breathtakingly close to our colony of lowland gorillas and don’t miss the action in the amphitheatre!

My oh my, my, if you go at feeding times, sometimes your in luck to see both Tigers, milatii and jay jay, and there two cubs, whom might not be babes any more, but still small, there enclosures nice and spacious, and depending on feeding time, you might see one of the Tigers by or in the water, or climbing... Visited for my birthday in March, had an excellent day, there's plenty to see, shame the lions were doing what cats do best, and sleeping! For the price you pay, you can't complain when you think about all the animals food, enclosures and staff they have. Would certainly go again!

Went there today, cost £54 for us as a couple and were ready to leave within an hour. It felt like a third of the zoo was closed to the public. And various building work going on throughout. It was a very expensive short sharp hour. Would not return.

We went to London zoo this week and although the staff were polite and helpful I can't help think with refurbishment and animals missing 25.00 a little over priced maybe it is after all world famous so why not give information on the works being done and when things will be back to normal... A lot of animals missing sadly... More

Dissapointing, the Lions had been transerred to Whipsnade Zoo during the construction of a new enclosure, this not clearly indicated at the entrance. The aquarium in contrast was excellent. Our visit was out of season (in the cold)

Thank you for your feedback with regards to ZSL London Zoo. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed to find that our Lions have been moved back in November to our sister zoo, ZSL Whipsnade. As you have indeed mentioned, their enclosure is currently being developed to the exciting new 'Land of the Lions' which will be opening... More

Visited with family mid-March. Several parts of the zoo were closed for refurbishment or redevelopment - in such a situation I think the expensive entrance fee should be reduced. My main complaint is the carousel opposite the Terrace restaurant. This has no place in a scientific institution and completely distracted our 3 year old from wanting to see the Penguins,... More

I have to start by saying that, at nearly £50 for two adults, this is definitely not a cheap day out. I was also slightly annoyed that a "voluntary" 10% donation is automatically added to the ticket price and that you have to ask for it to be removed, which obviously embarrasses most people into paying the extra. I don't... More

We visited London zoo several times with our 2 children aged 1 and 8 and there is plenty to do. It's not over crowded and parking is close to the zoo only a 5 minute walk which is a great help although it's best to get there early as it can fill up by lunch time. The zoo has plenty of... More
