I booked this tour as a present for a friend Who loves photography and was visiting me in London. It was an amazing experience. Ian gave us very useful advice on ho to use the camera at ita best and thanks to him our memories of London turned into really incredible pictures to show to friends and family. I also... More

My husband and I took a photo walk with Ian and had a fantastic time! More than the enjoyment of the tour itself and seeing London from those angles, or of coming away with some wonderful pictures, I loved how much I learned. In the two days since then, I've been actually using my manual setting and having so much... More

I must say that this was one of the best things we did in London. We started out the week with a Photo Walk with Ian Hardy. The walk was intended for my 12 year old son but boy did I learn a lot. Unfortunately, my son's digital camera decided not to work so all we had were our smart... More

I had just gotten a new camera and decided it was time that I stopped using the automatic setting. After doing a bit of research I chose Photo Walks of London. It was a brilliant experience. First of all, I was alone on the Photo walk, so I got a 1 on 1 course. Ian taught me how to use... More

I met Ian twice, once for the Westminster walk in the daytime and once for the night photo walk. Both were excellent. Ian was very flexible during the Westminster walk as the London Marathon was going on and we meandered around the street closings to get the best shots of London. He was very good at teaching me about walking... More

I did this tour back in August (2014) and really enjoyed it - I got some awesome shots and learnt a lot in a short amount of time. Not only that, but I was late to meet Ian (after having to sort botched accommodation) and Ian was happy to wait and rejigged the planned itinerary to get the best lighting/use... More

I met with Ian right on time at Westminster and we proceeded to tour both sides of the river. ian was very friendly and knowledgeable about his city. he guided us through some well known and not so well known places offering tips on settings and composition. The time just whizzed by and I managed to capture some amazing images.... More

Met Ian on two occasions for four great learning experiences Three day walks and one evening walk I now have the confidence to use my camera in manual mode, and further have also learned some really great ways to use my mobile phone camera. I previously was disdainful of this little beauty! Versatility and vision were underlying lessons from Ian.... More

This is a company to be avoided! Having made a booking for the Westminster Walk I travelled from my home in Bedfordshire at a cost of over £40 in train fares and parking. I arrived at the meeting point at Westminster Underground Station in good time but no representative turned up. I telephoned the company and the representative claimed to... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
