London, home of great attractions including the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and The Tower of London now also boasts the first Flight Simulator in the capital. "What a great experience, highly recommended" comments THE OBSERVER. Available at Central London for tourists and Londoners alike to enjoy, iPILOT is a dream for budding pilots, allowing you to take control of a major passenger jet, with guidance from qualified pilot instructors, in a flight simulator similar to those used to train future pilots, starting at a hugely affordable GBP 49 for a flight Experience. The simulator gives you a choice to fly from and to 24000 different airports - allowing you to try to land into some of the trickiest airports and taking in panoramic views of some of the most beautiful cities in the world! It's a fun experience and should try if you want to get a hint of what happens in the cockpit. I took off and landed at couple airports. Choice available for any airport in world.

This was a late birthday present so I'm a bit biased as I've been wanting to do this for ages having spent many nights on Microsoft flight simulator. This was a fantastic experience, worth every penny.

I was given this gift voucher as a birthday present. I was very nervous but I didn't need to worry as Dave my Instructor, was very patient and talked it through with me. I took off and landed several times but declined doing so in bad weather.! If you want to give a gift that is different and exciting then... More

Both my teenage kids had an amazing time, and my daughter (13yrs) is now asking for flying lessons.... There was a minimum of theory and maximum takeoff/landling/flying which suits teens perfectly. Our instructor was great about getting his pupils relaxed and gently nudging the dual controls unobtrusively. As they got more confident he got them to choose more challenging airports.... More

I Pilot is tucked away in the Westfield shopping centre, Shepherd's Bush, get the tube to the Bush and Westfield is on your left. There is much to do there from just shopping to having a very good meal. I bought this on a voucher from Groupon, ensuring you book in advance. We turned up, you will need photo ID... More

My son did a session with ipilot today and enjoyed himself immensely! The pilot was very polite and patient and definitely knew his stuff! We flew half way around the world and never left the ground! Vouchers can be bought as gifts and there are sometimes offers available. Worth a visit!

I took a half hour "flight" which was a present from my son using a Red Letter Days voucher. The booking and check in process were smooth. The flight itself was supervised by a professional pilot who explained the procedure and controls. It was interesting to see how the take-off and landing process works and the controls. The visual experience... More

I bought this package for my son and his two friends to have a 90minute flight in a 'simulator' used by professional pilots ..... Well! Anyone thinking about paying for this experience please DONT! It's a complete waste of time and frankly you would have more pleasure spending your money on a chocolate bar! It's just a box in the... More

I had the 1 hour session. I had never done anything similar before. It is brilliant. The qualified pilot staff take you through the controls step by step and before you know it you are flying a Boeing 737. Fantastic experience!

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
