Our vacation in London was brightened enormously by the docents of Context Tours. We walked through the Tower of London, Hampton Court, Westminster Abbey, and The Tate Museum with Sarah Jane, Phillipa, and Kevin. Honestly, it was like walking through history with old friends, no group larger than four, each walk tailored to our desires, each docent warm, articulate, and... More

I recently took 2 London Context tours with my 15-year-old grandson -- the Tower of London tour with Clare and the British Museum with Anna. Both tours were excellent. Both were conducted by docents who were very knowledgeable about the subject matter and very well prepared. This is the 3rd city in which I have taken Context tours and I... More

I booked a tour for the tower of London. We started late waiting on two people. Then the guide spent the first hour telling us about memorials outside the tower. Time that I felt could have been better spent inside the structure I paid to be guided through. The guide would start rambling about nonsense wasting our tour time while... More

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for taking the time to write. I am so sorry to hear about your displeasure with the presentation of the Tower of London walk that Clare conducted. Messages like yours are precisely the reason that do we do solicit feedback from all our clients. Context is built on its docents. We offer our clients exceptional experiences... More

Just finished our 3rd walking tour in London and loved all three. Have spent a lot of time in this city, but these tours designed around a subject of interest add so much. First tour was of Boroughs Market, second was architecture and third was gastronomic. Thank you to our docents Jan-Paul, David and Janine.

My sister and I went on a Private Walking Tour with Sue. She was a great guide! We went to the Tower of London, walked through "The City", and traveled through some of Royal London. I would highly recommend a Private Day Tour. Sue was able to focus the tour on things we wanted to see. Sue pointed out a... More

I have taken many Context walking Tours in New York since 2010 and loved the variety of choices, consistently excellent docents and great service. This time when I visited London, I decided to squeeze three tours in the week I was there. I was not disappointed. I loved the attentiveness, knowledge and excellent planning of the two docents, Ruth and... More

While in London we took two tours with Context Travel. Westminster Abbey was a small group tour of three and the National Gallery was a private tour. Both tours were excellent. The tours guides were terrific, highly versed in the subject matter and very interesting and personable. Each was able to make the experience come alive. I highly recommend Context... More

This is our 3rd and 4th tour with Context Travel. We toured Rome and Florence with Context and last week we did London. We were 6 adults on our first visit to London. The first tour we did was to the British Museum with Caroline. I cannot begin to tell you what an incredible tour guide, Caroline was. We are... More

We recently booked a walking tour for our family while we were in London with Dr. Lawrence S. Owens, PhD, through Context Travel. Dr. Owens is a Bioarcheologist and Physical Anthropologist at the University of London. His academic knowledge coupled with an extraordinary ability to communicate complex topics in fun and engaging ways made it the high point of our... More

Our first trip to London with only a few short days to absorb as much of the city as possible. We were not going to sit on the top of a double decker bus and tour in traffic congestion - we wanted to walk. The whole Context tour experience was just perfect. The meeting point was just right, the places... More
