Description: All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London...
All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

This is a really excellent London bus tour. It looks at some of the murkier sides of London's past, taking in ghostly apparitions and unpleasant goings-on at various central London locations on both sides of the river. Without wanting to give too much away, the bus has a 'bus conductor' who takes you on a 'dramatised' journey through London's past... More

I would thoroughly recommend this as it was both informative and funny! The conductor was brilliant and without giving away too much, so were the others involved! The bus looked creepy but provided a great ride!

We really enjoyed this night tour, on a black, double decker bus, from the 1960's. It was decorated very spooky and the tour was scary, funny and interesting. We learned a great deal about the history of London and spooky facts about different areas and buildings. It was so much fun, in part by the excellent actors who really stayed... More

My sister in law booked this for me as I never been on it before, I was unsure when a man got on the bus but did not realize till later that it was one of the actors. It has some interesting facts about ghosts but it more funny than scary. At one stage my brother was laughing so much... More

We booked this having looked for something in London to use our Nectar points on. We were there for my 50th birthday weekend and having spent a lot on a show wanted something for the second evening that we could use the points to pay for. We weren't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised with an entertaining tour... More

Many thanks to the staff on the bus who really made it. Excellent acting and quite spooky - kids loved it as did the parents! Highly recommended for an alternative night out

Living in London blesses one with the opportunity and temptation of doing something unique, strange, interesting etc every day. Even though your wallet may not be as eager as your spirit on a daily basis, there are still great things to do and see on a budget. Like the ghost bus tour. No worries for the faint of heart, this... More

The conductor was brilliant. Not only funny and spooky, but also informative. The bus itself was really fun and the interior added to the atmosphere. All in all a great way to spend an hour and a bit and not badly prices at all! Josh and Alex

I went on this tour with my husband and two kids, Kevin and Kyle. Kevin is 8 and Kyle is 6. We had an alright time on the tour but not once did they even mention the Ghostbusters. Very misleading. Kevin was visually upset by the end and Kyle, who is a little younger left in tears. Our trip was... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
