Description: All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London...
All aboard the ‘orrible omnibus for a ride around the dark side of London. The Ghost Bus Tours’ classic Routemaster has been redesigned to give passengers London’s first ‘Fright Bus’ service. On-board actors and technical trickery combine to create the scariest tour in town. A creepy conductor provides the commentary for this sinister sightseeing show, revealing haunted places, unmarked burial grounds and the skeletons in the capital’s cupboard.

The only real terror on this tour was having to endure the dreadful ham acting. The tour provided a less than scant history lessons and the small amount that there was can only be described as scarily ill-informed. In short this was an utter waste of time and money.

OMG.. I can't recommend this tour enough! Excellent theatrical Ghost Tour....crying with laughter one minute then putting your feet up the next thinking they have released rats onboard. Will definitely do this tour again with the other half next time. My daughter and I absolutely loved it. 9pm in the dark.... Watching a man running around outside and screaming at... More

Myself and my partner used a Groupon voucher for this that my parents had purchased as a Christmas gift for us. We are two 21 year olds who live local to London, therefore are pretty familiar with most of the sights. I should begin with how our experience began - icy and jumbled. As we approached the bus, opposite the... More

As the title says try to find time to do this if you've got a spare couple of hours in London. The whole tour was great fun and was made by the talents of the best bus conductor in London and his hysterical but spooky tales. The entire crews acting and storytelling made this the highlight of my trip to... More

What a fantastic evening had on this. From the word go they try to make it as eerie as possible. Our tour guide played his part brilliantly and had a story going to do with the bus for between locations. Only criticism...maybe play done the theatricals down a bit . A times they were a bit too full on. Oh... More

This was the second time we did this tour as we enjoyed it the first time so much, we wanted to do it again on or next visit to London! If you are expecting a serious ghost tour then please refrain from attending because you are far too boring!! If you like a bit of tongue in cheek & slightly... More

Took 30 over excited eleven year old girls on this (God help me, apologies to everyone else on the bus). It's daft, funny, low-fi, not supposed to be especially informative and great fun. The actors were brilliant. I was worried the reviews were mixed and now suspect it's mostly down to the actors and the audience/ passengers. Ours happened to... More

We were unfortunate enough to fall for the publicity about this tour, and £30 later for 2 of us I was left feeling very disappointed! It would probably have been worth a fiver each, but £15 was really not worth it. We went on a different ghost walk in York a few days before which was far superior in every... More

The tour was fairly informative and interesting but mostly it was entertaining. We laughed heaps, had a few sudden scares and came away feeling high. It was interactive and really good fun. We all enjoyed it - kids aged nine and 11, parents and grandparents.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
