I went on the Sights of London tour with Matt. It was a 2.5 hour tour, including a 30 minute stop at the Covent Garden market for food, shopping, and entertainment. Had a good time and would recommend to anyone comfortable riding a bike. Navigating the streets of London was not difficult and Matt gave clear signals where to stop... More

Myself, my three boys, and one of their friends, (boys all aged between 9 and 13) all really enjoyed our tour of London with Matthew as our guide...it was a great way to see London and we all learnt lots! Matthew got the balance between cycling, facts and stories just right.....the boys are still talking about the blind, hairless albino... More

Only had a couple of days in London again and wanted to see as much as we possibly could. Pre-booked Matthew, cycle tours of London, before leaving Australia for one tour but had to change to the canal tour instead due to the Tour of Britain bike race blocking off several sections of the other rides. Regardless it was very... More

We loved our Sights of London tour so much, we came back 3 days later for the Canal Tour! Was a great way to see a side of London you'd never see on foot - even in the cold! Matthew was great - a great story teller and just all round good guy. Great thing to do with teenagers.

We just did this 3.5 hour tour of London (50 degrees F). Matthew was a wonderful tour guide with an interesting twist on the history of London sites and current events. He is very flexible on the tour (you have many opportunities for photos). Best of all you cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. Very... More

I took Matthew's Canal Tour on Saturday morning, he is a fantastic and informative guide. There were only three of us taking the tour, it was the perfect way to spend a few hours around parts of London I had never seen before. Mathew is very passionate and knowledgeable, the bikes are comfortable and easy to ride, safety was never... More

My girlfriend and I did the Sights of London Tour on a Sunday. Upon arrival we found out we were the only two that booked the tour so we got a private tour with Matt. It was awesome. Matt knows his stuff about London and shares it with you in a funny, interesting way. We should've started our weekend stay... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
