Haven't been to the Half Moon for a long time and certainly picked the right night to go!!! Absolute Bowie were FANTASTIC - you could tell everyone there had an excellent time and the Half Moon is THE best place to get "up close and personal" to the stage and feel part of the gig! It was GREAT! What we... More

The Halfmoon in Putney has a somewhat legendary reputation in not only London but the UK for hosting live music since the 1960s! Almost every night of the week live acts play in the very decent back room with a modest stage, good sound and lighting. 'This birth of a new kind of music venue, at a time of musical... More

We came to see The Mods who gave over two hours of sing-out-loud, dance your socks off absolutely note-perfect, spot on, highly talented, Kinks, Small Faces, The Who and other classics. We had one of the Half Moon's fantastic Sunday roasts before hand - once again, really friendly efficient waiting staff, wonderful environment and great drinks and food. Will be... More

This is a pretty legendary venue, great for catching a band and having a few beers. Never eaten here but would highly recommend for anyone that wants to see some live music. They have some decent tribute acts worth checking out.

As some of you may guess from my other reviews, I love places that are genuinely Dog Friendly. Came with a friend to pick up some tickets for a Beatles Tribute band. I was a bit apprehensive, because it had changes hands. Would it still be welcoming for dogs ? I need not have feared. We were all welcome there,... More

Came here for a Pink Floyd tribute band gig, and had a very good, authentic American hot-dog beforehand. The gig was great, really atmospheric, and the venue, beer, food and music made it a great night all round. Don't expect fine dining, but do come here for great music (and check out all the memorabilia from the famous bands over... More

Food is ok but I had to wait 50 minutes for my burger! And 3 months after it is not better, just waited 40 mins for some chips! Here I am again a year after and It's got worse: we ordered an hour ago and still waiting!

I hadn't been to the Half Moon for a few years, before it had a make over. Before it was a charming traditional pub with its famous music room at the rear. The music room as hosted some of the most iconic musicians over many decades. TheNew Half Moon is a triumph, tasteful, cosy, welcoming. The surroundings are most pleasant, one area... More
