We really enjoyed the historical perspective of the story along with entertaining music and outstanding performances. However my teenage kids didn't enjoy it but I think they missed the historical perspective of the story and the music wasn't to their taste. Note, we sat right near the front and could smell the cigarette smoke from the stage at times. Definitely... More

Pros- great dancing, storytelling, and singing. Theme very appropriate in modern times, eg, puberty, search for excellence in yourself, acceptance of society with regards to sexual orientation Cons- some people might be bored, with actors bursting into singing in the middle of dialogue; swearing

well overrated. This is the second time I have been to see BE and did not recognise it compared to my last visit, The sound was inaudible, stage settings very basic, too much swearing, no leg room whatsoever in the upper circle. I fail to understand this show's high ratings. I was totally bored and walked out at the interval.... More

Boring boring! Children were very good dancers. Too much swearing. Overrated show. Walked out half way through show. Wouldn't recommend.

We took in a matinee performance at the last minute and the whole show was amazing! I'd highly recommend it although think some of the northeast humour may be lost on some! We loved it and the young actors, especially Billy were fantastic!

Second time of seeing this show as family i was with wanted to see it. The acting and dancing is simply stunning. There is a lot of swearing but i feel it adds to the atmosphere. This show isnt a massively singing style musical and most focus is on the dancing but the singing is adequate at least. It made... More

Ugly cheap laughs from some aspects of audience who are ok with seeing children swear using strong language all through show. They probably use it at home? Many walked out as very young children used extreme swear words and called the ballet children girls class 'spastics'. Poor acting and shouting not singing. Middle finger signs all the time. If you... More

Wow! This is an absolute amazing show! We went towards the end of June for my Dad's Birthday and it is a very uplifting musical based on the film. The stage and set design was very clever and the theatre is very nice! Would of liked to of maybe sat in the dress circle instead of the stalls as the... More

We got cheap tickets for this so were sat high up with a restricted view but it was only the corner upstage right that was obstructed and this did not spoil our evening by any means! We all absolutely loved this and agreed it was far better than the film. The cast were brilliant - so much talent. I hope... More

I went to see this show last Saturday, so pleased I have now watched the show, it is simply out of this world, all the kids work so very hard, I have read lots of reviews on Billy, and although the boys are great, so are all the ballet girls, I think without them the show wouldn't be the same,... Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
