Our Jack the Ripper tour takes place seven nights a week at 7pm. We meet outside Aldgate East Underground Station. We ask you to book because we limit the number of participants on each tour to around 34 people per guide. We go straight into the old alleyways where the Jack the Ripper murders occurred in the autumn of 1888. Several of our guides are published authors on the subject.

This tour was excellent, Philip, our guide, was very knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. It rained on the night we went which added to the experience. Quite a few of the actual murder sites have now been built on but it's still worth doing if you're interested in Jack the Ripper. I thought it was good value for money.

Absolutely outstanding, great meeting location, very accessible for trains and tubes. Met by a really friendly guy named John, joined our group and off we went! The guide was really informative, but loved the way he kept putting in a little lightheartedness, you weren't just standing there listening to someone ramble on. Loved also the fact he told us a... John the guide was great and kept us thoroughly enthral led despite the rain! Saw sites I have walked past before and didn't realise the significance of them. Will be going back to look at them again!

Our guide, although knowledgable, did not seem to have a coherent train of thought. Everywhere we visited had at least another two tours in the very near vicinity causing a lot of noise and crowding. Also theres nothing really to see on the tour as most places were bombed in WW2. Not atmospheric either. The best part was the guides... More

I had heard mixed reviews about doing a Jack the Ripper tour but I lucked out and chose a good tour. Barry our tour guide was very knowledgeable and held everybody's interest throughout. He was also friendly and chatted to people as we walked to the various sights. The size of the group was just right. I would recommend this... More

Our guide Phillip Hutchinson was truly amazing. His knowledge of Jack the Ripper was phenomenal. His sense of humour really added to this great evening. Will recommend this to others. I have also purchased Phillips book. Again, this was A+ Our visit was 19th August 2015 Tracey and Steve

Really enjoyed the tour with Lindsay - she is very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject which made it even more enjoyable (can't wait for her book to come out). We also enjoyed looking around the area and discovering parts of London that we'd never visited. I shall definitely return to the area and I shall recommend the tour to... More

Our tour guide was Lindsey, and she is fabulous. So knowledgeable, great characterisation of the various people you'll meet on your journey with Jack, and a really great guide. We had our 10 year old daughter with us, and she made sure to let her know if any gruesome photos were coming up, so she could look away if she... More

What a great evening this was. Despite the dreadful torrential rain nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of our guide John as we traced the footsteps of the infamous Jack the Ripper. His compassion for the Ripper's victims was evident throughout the walk and his knowledge on the subject led to a fact filled interesting evening with a difference.

I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was brilliant. He knew his stuff, took time to tell the story of the poor women who fell into the hands of the ripper. He was very enthusiastic and entertaining however did not take away the seriousness and tragedy of the crimes and the women who were victims of these horrific attacks.

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
