RIBA Liverpool City Tours tell the story of Liverpool past, present and future through the buildings and public spaces that make up the city. RIBA guides will lead a walking tour that puts the spotlight on key buildings and spaces that form part of the contemporary city landscape, its characters, its commerce and its culture. We went on the Ropewalk tour yesterday & can't rate it highly enough. We met at Liverpool One Travel Centre where toilets were available if needed before tour started. Barry & Pat, our walk leaders were mines of information. The tour is suitable for visitors and locals alike. We ourselves have lived on Wirral all our lives & thought we... More

I really can't praise our RIBA tour enough and enjoyed every minute. We went on Gateway to the World and will most defiantly be booking the other tours. I'm from Liverpool and have returned back to my home town after many years away. The passion and knowledge offered by our guides Brian and Catherine really has opened our eyes to... More

This is a definite 'must do' if you are in any way interested in a place you are visiting. First time or a local (there were 8 locals on our tour). We met in the docks and had a fascinating ~2 hour trip around the City, we saw buildings old and new, heard the history, the owners, previous owners, what... More

Excellent walking tour around the RopeWalk area of the City. Lived in Liverpool all my life & discovered buildings I never knew existed. This area dates back to 1700 & it's good to know the City Council are preserving our heritage. The area mainly consisted of warehouses as the first dock came right up to Hanover St & small factories... More

Really enjoyed the RIBA tour. We really learnt a lot about Liverpool in the two hours. A great way to see how the buildings tell the story of Liverpool. Very informative, without ever being dry or boring. The tour guides really knew their way around the city! A visit to the Tate shop later for souvenirs we found a great little... More

Last Saturday we took the RIBA tour .City of Culture, Learning and Faiths . It was excellent and although we know Liverpool quite well we saw streets and learnt things that were completely new to us. I would highly recommend it particularly for people who already have some knowledge of Liverpool. Its a walking tour so we were very luck... More

We did this tour today. Our guides Jen and Barry were friendly and very knowledgeable. The tour was further enhanced by the maps and old photos that Barry showed us before and during the walk.We thoroughly enjoyed the walk, which gave us a new insight into some of the iconic buildings of the city. We were particularly impressed by the... More

We have just completed the Culture and Faith walking tour (10.1.15) Arthur and Pat the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. We thought we knew Liverpool but found a church and a few buildings we didn't know existed. We would highly recommend this tour. Elaine and Michael
