This is a lovely and interesting church with a very rare cast iron structure. Lovely stained glass too.

St. Michael in-the-Hamlet is of only three 'Cast Iron' Churches built in the UK by John Cragg. St George's in Everton, Liverpool; St Philip's in Hardman Street, Liverpool and St. Michael in St. Michael's Church Road, Liverpool. St. Philip's was demolished after 30 years. Having trained as a Choirboy here in my early youth I then found out how special this, one of only two cast iron framed Churches in the country, is. A historic church, built with more iron than brick. Amazing stained glass windows and a warm welcome.

nice, been once on OCC event. the event went well, people seemed nice, but its only teh 1st visit so cant be sure. great for the 1st visit. lovely

the church itself just seems like any old church maybe but it has a history of being the church to have been built using cast iron girders a name also alloted to the now disappeared cast iron shore nearby
