St. Michael in-the-Hamlet is of only three 'Cast Iron' Churches built in the UK by John Cragg. St George's in Everton, Liverpool; St Philip's in Hardman Street, Liverpool and St. Michael in St. Michael's Church Road, Liverpool. St. Philip's was demolished after 30 years. nice, been once on OCC event. the event went well, people seemed nice, but its only teh 1st visit so cant be sure. great for the 1st visit. lovely

the church itself just seems like any old church maybe but it has a history of being the church to have been built using cast iron girders a name also alloted to the now disappeared cast iron shore nearby
