Went for a day out as I had been there when I was younger and wanted to take my girlfriend and daughter. My girlfriend had never been as she's originally from Cambridgeshire, she thoroughly enjoyed the day. We went into the house itself, had a walk in the gardens and went in the maze. There was an ice cream van... More

Went to Speke Hall at Halloween and they put on special shows. It is a National Trust property so being members we and our 3 year grandson went in free. They put on a very good day out and the walk through the woods was amazing as was the tour of the hall. A bonus to all the proceedings was... More

Try to take the morning guided tour to learn the history of the house and occupants before browsing around on your own. There are many interesting pieces of furniture and original features in this well preserved property. Plenty to do if the weather is fine, including a walk round the grounds and woodland with views of the Mersey. We will... More

After travelling on the very busy road into Liverpool, turning off towards the airport and round the cargo area, it is such a surprise to come across this amazing house in its parkland. We arrived on a rainy day and quickly walked over to the house. I could have spent a lot of time in there - so much to... More

I spent a great day out here with friends and family following the recommendations of trip advisor. We were not disappointed. Very easy to get to on the bus from Liverpool city. On arriving at reception the staff here we're very welcoming and provided us with great information. I also found the staff at the Hall knowledgeable and eager to... More

Speke Hall is a fantastic Tudor house set in lovely grounds. There is a maze and children's playground. Lots of woodland and gardens to explore. Cafe has a range of meals and offers gf and df soups. Good quality home cooked food. Cafe is a little small but its fairly priced. Great for children.

This is a beautiful property. We walked along the coastal path and it was lovely, seeing the RiverMersey. Staff were very knowledgeable and very friendly. It is very close to the airport. Light lunch in the restaurant was good too. Very enjoyable afternoon - recommended!

We visited this National Trust's property on 31st October for the Halloween Horror at the property! It was so entertaining and we screamed so much!!! It was brilliant! We managed to survive the night! I took some spooky photos... Not sure what I took... ?!?? It was dark...see for yourself. The venue was extremely popular and it was sold out... More

As we are members of the National Trust we recently decided to visit Speke Hall and were pleasantly surprised. Free entry and parking if you are members of the NT. The hall and gardens are beautiful. The staff in the hall were courteous, helpful and knowledgable about the history. Events are arranged throughout the year for the kids so it's... More

We joined the free Victorian Tour and learnt lots about how the house changed through the years. Our son helped the guide show the photos and it helped to involve him. We didn't have time to explore the grounds but we did try the Scouse stew. :)
