This is a nice venue with some interesting sights. We have visited both in and out of season and much prefer the quieter times when you can take more time. The maze is great fun for young and old alike. If in the area this is a good choice - especially if you are already National Trust members. I would't... More

The old house is amazing, steeped in history and a lot of it is still in really good condition. the gardens and grounds are beautiful and can be visited just on there own.

It's a shame the house was given to the Trust with next to no furniture. The contents now convey more of a Victorian atmosphere with dark colours. One member of staff went out of her way to correct a visitor who quite correctly pointed out the curtains and carpets in one room were a terrible mishmash of style and date.... More

An interesting walk through history in lovely stately home with antique furnishings and a rich history. A lovely place to spend the afternoon....we met friends there and had a lovely tour.

One of the loveliest Tudor buildings in the UK and much loved by locals as well as tourists. Speke Hall run by the National Trust always has a warm welcome for visitors and it's volunteer guides are friendly and informative. Much of the original building remains completely unaltered which is surprising, and anyone even vaguely interested in the Tudors will... More

I visit alot of National Trust properties and found this one excellent. It's not as grand or as magnificent as others, but its very interesting and the gardens are lovely to walk around in if its warm.

Visited for the Christmas theme, and was very disappointing. Had to queue outside in the cold and pouring rain for over 40minutes. What a waste of time and money (we paid £10.00 each), if we were given an allocated slot time we could have visited the restaurant, but of course we didn't want to lose our place so had no... More

Amazing historic building. The whole place is panelled with oak (I think). You just feel like you have gone back in time.

I visited Speke Hall with some friends as part of the Hall's Christmas events. Having paid over £9 for entry, I expected to be taking part in Christmas type events... At the very least we expected to see Christmas Carols being performed... When we were in the grounds, it was surprising that we had to queue outside for approx. 45... More
