Spent a morning at Speke Hall and found it very interesting and informative. The staff were very helpful and good at answering questions. There was also a Kitchen Garden, a childrens play area, a maze, picnic areas and a few different walks, so plenty to do if you want to spend all day there.I would definately go back again.

This is a National Trust property. The Hall is well worth the visit as is the gardens and walk alongside the water

The parking at this property is free. Entry to the house and garden is £10, I think - I didn't take much notice of the prices as I'm a National Trust member. We arrived when the hall opened at 11.00am, and booked on the 11.15am tour of the house. This was conducted by an enthusiastic lady dressed in Victorian costume.... More

There is plenty of history to go with this National Trust owned property, with priest's hidey holes, double floors and secret panels young and old alike can imagine themselves back to the days of Cavaliers and Roundheads. The house is beautifully maintained throughout with expert guides on hand, to answer all those intriguing questions, and the gardens are a joy... More

It’s been years since I have been here. But I recently took my mum and my two 7 year old daughters. The house is lovely to walk around as are the grounds. The girls were both given a little pack to do a little quiz to keep them occupied on the way around. There is a really nice café there,... More

If one combined all the excellent reviews below, and asked someone to guess where it was, few would answer "Liverpool". This is a magnificent house, splendidly preserved (National Trust), and each room is attended by helpful guides. It takes about 2 hours to tour, and it even has a priest hole!! Take your time, and immerse yourself in a wonderful... More

Although Speke Hall itself is a wonderful house, the walks in the estate are by far its best characteristic. A new walk has just been opened up, taking visitors down to the disused airstrip and along the coast. The original walk offers fantastic views of the Mersey as well as the airport, with planes regularly taking off and landing. The... More
