My family went on the National Trust tour inside Paul McCartney's 20 Forthlin Road and John Lennon's Mendips homes. It was one of the highlights of our European vacation. Thank you Yoko and Mike McCartney and all the others who made the homes open to the public and filled them with so many personal items and memorabilia. What a thrill... more

I recently visited the childhood homes of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. All I can say is thank you to the National Trust for opening these houses to the public. Paul's house has been re-stored to how it was when Paul actually lived there and as a fan it just feels amazing to stand inside, I could've stayed all day.... more

I visited 20 Forthlin Road (which is combined with Mendips, John Lennon's childhood home) last year and had a great time. Departure (in a minivan) is from Speke Hall, which is quite far outside the centre of Liverpool so I had to take a cab to get there, but it was worth it. Speke Hall itself is worth a visit... more
