Visited the pub during the day one weekend. A good atmosphere somewhat spoiled by the barman's rude manner telling people coming into the bar with children "KIDS NOT ALLOWED" in a loud rude manner, seen this 3 times in less than an hour. OK kids may not be allowed but cut for the rude and loud behaviour Mr. Barman. Maybe... More

It's the pub the Beatles drank in, obviously Beatles memorabilia on the walls. Still just a normal old style pub.

We went to this pub, purely to go see where the Fab Four enjoyed a pint when performing at The Cavern. Awesome 60's pub, still largely unchanged. We all sat in the very seat the where the most famous pic of the Beatles was taken of them, and enjoyed a pint or 2 ourselves. Fantastic atmosphere. We decided to stay... More

Went in here to meet up with some mates and get a quick pint. Beer was superb, prices for Mathew street very good and the staff are really nice. The pub in it's self is dark but this adds real atmosphere to this well known well worn pub. Location will mean you get lots of Beatle fans in here, mixed with locals.... More

Went with my sister and friend, I went to the bar whilst they found seats. A group of girls were leaving so they sat down , paid for the drinks and sat down with them. The pot man can over to collect the glasses, my sister tried to help by picking up a coke bottle on floor and put it... More

We just popped in for a pint, as we have a few times over the years, before eating round the corner at the Casa Italia (fantastic cheap place by the way!) We went into the 'snug' to show our visiting uncle the memorabilia and were surprised to see a 'tour' being brought in and the original wall paper being pointed... More

The Beatles used to perform at the nearby Cavern Club which was non-alcoholic back in those days. So the boys used to nip in here for the odd pint (or whatever). Some great memorabilia on the walls and some classic photos. We enjoyed some banter with the bartender. I don't think I would eat here (if they even serve food),... More

Quick pint in here whilst out with the family, Like a Beatles museum in a pub. Decent ale and reasonable price. Worth a visit.
