Went with my sister and friend, I went to the bar whilst they found seats. A group of girls were leaving so they sat down , paid for the drinks and sat down with them. The pot man can over to collect the glasses, my sister tried to help by picking up a coke bottle on floor and put it... More

We just popped in for a pint, as we have a few times over the years, before eating round the corner at the Casa Italia (fantastic cheap place by the way!) We went into the 'snug' to show our visiting uncle the memorabilia and were surprised to see a 'tour' being brought in and the original wall paper being pointed... More

The Beatles used to perform at the nearby Cavern Club which was non-alcoholic back in those days. So the boys used to nip in here for the odd pint (or whatever). Some great memorabilia on the walls and some classic photos. We enjoyed some banter with the bartender. I don't think I would eat here (if they even serve food),... More

Quick pint in here whilst out with the family, Like a Beatles museum in a pub. Decent ale and reasonable price. Worth a visit.

The Beatles used to meet here before and after performing at the Cavern Club up the lane. Beer is good, but it is shabby and unkempt. Few bits of shipyard and Beatles photos on the wall and another must if you are on the Beatles trail.

We visited here on a girls weekend do & we were introduced by some local lads to this proper old school pub & we loved it! Friendly locals, Great music, Kareoke, proper drinks at reasonable prices! What more do you need? Even some Beatles cultural history here! Ideal! Will be visiting again!

The memorabilia in the grapes is excellent, having a relaxing drink while wandering around the pub looking at all the memorabilia is very nice and you can sit in the same seat and have a drink as the Beatles did. It is a must, much better than the cavern club which serves drinks in plastic glasses and is a replica.... More

On 27th August 2014, we were out on a staff members leaving party and visited the grapes at approx 10 pm. We often visit the grapes as most members enjoy getting up on the karaoke and have had many good nights out in there. However , on this particular night the doormen stopped us entering and stated that we couldn't... More

Denied access to the Grapes because we were a group of 8!! We were a mixed group of men and women all middle aged, on a works leaving do. Not one of us drunk or loud, approached the Grapes and the response was, you can't come in a group because of fighting?? Seriously our group did not look like we... More
