We were in the Matthew street area early Thursday and as THE GRAPE'S was just opening decided to go in and have a swift half. There was a fantastic DJ doing his thing and we were there at 3 in the afternoon. Lots of real mod 60's music we loved it. Good value for money. We had between 2 of us 4 drinks and 2 meals for less than £15.. We only left because it was time to go get changed for the evening

Where do I start... Far too small Far too many people allowed in at once meaning it's impossible to breathe Toilets are disgusting Stick to the floor

They need to get some better bar staff the lad is so arrogant and nasty jobs worth and not fair in serving people wouldn't go there again

My mother and friends have been here quite a few times and never had any problems but today the blonde girl who was serving was not only rude but threatened my mother not to serve her when she questioned why she served the person standing behind her was served first. Her reply was that I don't have to serve anybody... More

This place is fab Full of locals and on some weekends Pete price gets the crowd going with a singalong Great ale served by happy staff Well priced for liverpool Great atmosphere

Ok went in this pub with my brother who is a qualified staff nurse, april 15th after hillsbourough memorial. MAN collapses in pub and looks dead on the floor, twitching on his legs feet, doormen stand there laughing and joking looking at him scratching there head dont know what to do.
