We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather. Chilly but blue skies. The church itself is beautiful. It has a aura of peace and tranquility. The fact that it's connected to the Beatles means it's a go to place for any fan. I enjoyed my time there.

St Peters Church Hall is where John Lennon and Paul McCartney first met when The Quarrymen were playing at the Summer Fete. In the churchyard you will find the graves of Eleanor Rigby and Mr Toogood Smith, John Lennon's Uncle.

This is a beautiful church in it's own right but of course most of us are seeing it due to it's relationship with the Beatles or the Quarrymen who first performed at the summer fete. The gravestones of Eleanor Rigby and Father McKenzie which were used in the song Eleanor Rigby are lovely along with the grave of Robert Paisley... More

Beautiful Church. I was lucky enough to be shown around St. Peter's Church by my lovely friend, Donna, on Sunday (27.09.15) & I got to see the inside of this magnificent church. It is stunning. The graveyard is also wonderful. It isn't at all eerie or spooky. It's actually quite serene & peaceful :)

Who could not remember this little picturesque church, where Paul & John first met, and the gravestones from which they used names in their songs; Eleanor Rigby, Mr. Mackenzie and many more. They used to hang around here in their teens reading the stones. A must see for Beatles fans.

The grave of Eleoner Rigby is located here along with a famous ex football manager. Well worth a visit to this delightful church.

We are regulars to st Peter's and you always get a warm and friendly welcome. The services are child friendly and really lively. There is a church band who play the songs and the kids can get up and do actions. The vicar Kip is fantastic and very friendly and any of the lay readers etc who give sermons or... More

We had a lovely afternoon here , the band playing were really good and the atmosphere bouncing...the only down side was the inability of the bar staff to identify who was waiting at the bar to be served. On three occasions myself and my husband were ignored by the young man ...who always served the person directly in front of... More
