This was truly an amazing experience, being able to see the graves of Ms. Rogby and Mr. Mackenzie. The graveyard is filled with Beatle related dates and names which makes it all creepy but cool. After the graveyard you should cross the street and see the place where John and Paul met, where thing started to move. Any Beatle fan... More

Elenor rigby, John McKenzie, Martha, Unkle George, Woolton village fate.... 6.7.1957. Then the things started to move. Make sure you can explore here. No bus tour. I managed also inside the at peter church hall where the boys met. It is a bit hidden. Nice village, movie theatre, bath, Strawberry fields close. Also good reasons to go there.

This is a Beatles Site that must be on your itenarary. The site where Paul first met John Lennon was on July 6th 1957 at the St. Peter's Hall. This building still has the original floor and also shows you through many pictures on the wall of where the original stage was located where Paul played and impressed John enough... More

This is a lovely place to go to on a Sunday. The services are interesting ( not boring or long and tedious) and the people there are friendly and welcoming.

We attended a funeral of a dear friend who suddenly passed away. The funeral service was beautiful and the church was packed.

I have only been inside this building once and, sadly, that was to attend a funeral. However, I can attest to the fact that Woolton's parish church is an impressive structure. Set in the heart of the historic village, it is a "must see" for Beatles fanatics and, as noted below, the graveyard is especially significant. I live close to... More

This is a beautiful, historically significant church (Eleanor Rigby anyone?) and my lovely family are buried here, which makes it 5* in my book...

I did not go inside the church, but behind the church is a school now where John Lennon met Paul McCartney for the first time on July 6th 1957, thus being a very historic location for Beatles fans. The graveyard next to the church is also of interest for Beatles fans, since you can find the tombstones of Eleanor Rigby... More

It's warm, it's light, and the worshippers are friendly. Monseigneur John is gentle and the atmosphere has a sincerity about it that permeates through and through
