No visit to Liverpool would be complete without a trip on the Mersey Ferry. This is a great opportunity to take in the skyline and learn some interesting facts about Liverpool's history. This is especially pleasant on a summers day.

Perhaps a bit of a chilly idea to sit on the outside of the ferry for a whole 1hr round trip in January, but we still enjoyed the trip. When we went the ferry had been done up in Dazzle colours, interesting to see the artwork in real life. The ferry takes you along the waterfront city and Wirral side... More

Thanks for your review! We're glad that you enjoyed your trip, despite the weather being a bit chilly. We hope you were able to enjoy a nice cup of tea and keep out the cold by sitting inside. Had a great day, the staff were superb, very friendly and helpful, the seating was good, and the snacks and drinks were very reasonably priced. The cost was £26.50 for two adults and a fourteen year old, and that included admission to the U-boat exhibition. There is a commentary on what you can see, very informative, but we would have... A 'Ferry Across the Mersey' was one of our 'musts' on our trip to Liverpool and we weren't disappointed. Just the spectacle of the ferry itself was incredible and even more so finding out the history behind it: boats were painted in the dazzle style in WW1 to confuse the enemy and make them harder to target with bombs. The... More

Thanks for your review! We are glad that you enjoyed yourself on board Snowdrop, our very own 'Dazzle Ferry,' and that you were able to learn about the history of Dazzle ships and the role they played during the First World War. The Mersey Ferries river cruise provides a great way to view the waterfront of Liverpool, as well as a pleasant mode of transport compared to an underground train system. The boat itself is something of interest, as it has become a work of art in itself with its dazzle paint, and this along provides an enhancement to the photos of... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback following your recent cruise. I’m sorry you found the recorded commentary volume too loud and hope it did not spoil your cruise completely! It sometimes does depend on weather conditions as the outside speaker volumes are set higher to compensate for vessel and wind noise. The matter has been sent... More

travel on the Mersey for a different view of Liverpool. Probably not the best if it's poor weather. Great parking for your car.

Thanks for your review of the Mersey Ferry. We're glad that you were able to see a different view of the city. The weather wasn't the best yesterday, but the Ferry does have inside seating where you can keep warm and dry. Hopefully, next time you join us on board we'll have fine weather and you can enjoy a seat... More

The 50' minute round-trip on the River Mersey is a good way to aclimatise with the buildings, history and culture of this wonderful City. Best done on a dry day (views from top open deck a must) and commentary is good. Light refreshments available onboard.

Although the weather was cold and wet we had an interesting trip with a running commentary. The ticket also included a visit to Spaceport and the U-boat story, with recommended times for the length of stay. We had an enjoyable afternoon and I think it was good value.

Although the weather was not great the trip across the Mersey was a highlight to our day out. It is a good way to get to see Liverpool from the water and your ticket allows you to stop at Liverpool, Birkenhead (U Boat Story) and Seacombe (Spaceport). We purchased a £15 ticket that allowed is to visit the Spaceport and... More

We took the Mersey Ferry and took it to Spaceport and the U-Boat Story and it made a nice day out. The combination ticket price vs. the prices for each attraction make it worth it to get all three. The ferry takes a very roundabout way to the three docks, but it has nice commentary on the way. It was... More
