Good way to kill a hour. The tour guide comes in the form of an audiotape played on loudspeaker which tries (and fails to use humour) and is fairly quiet. Due to the waves, visibility is poor inside leading you to sit out side in the cold rain if you want to see anything. Other than that it's good and... More

Excellent day out! Leisurely & very informative. Most enjoyable! Book in advance as it's very popular & gets booked up early in summer months. Take a coat as it can be windy in parts!

It's not just the ferry ride but it can be done together with visits to the Spaceport experience and the excellent U Boat story. For all ages.

What a ride. This ferry makes three stops on this one hour tour. You can sit outside, inside, or on the top deck. It leaves very close to the Beatles Story. The is a tour guide that tells about the towns and buildings along the way.

Loved it. Reasonably priced and packages available to other attractions. Very informative commentary and information boards on the ferry. Staff helpful and friendly. Round trip 50 mins can get off at different stations if you like and further attractions available at each. Of course you just have to sing THAT song whilst on board..!

Since it leaves only on the hour, the Mersey Ferry can’t be considered a commuter ferry, like New York’s Staten Island Ferry. But also unlike the Staten Island Ferry, it’s not really a tourist event in its own right, what with there being no Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island or Verrazano Narrows Bridge. The Liverpool skyline doesn’t compare,... More

My grandson and I regularly use the ferry to go to Liverpool. We park at Seacombe Ferry and get the ferry across the Mersey. On a nice day, you can't beat it. On a terrible day, just wrap up well and enjoy the views. Some great opportunities for the camera buffs. The only let down is coming home from Liverpool.... More

What an amazing trip it was. We did it as part of a mini break. It was so good to be able to ride on this very famous river and to experience and see somebof their heritage. Weather was great which made all the difference. Recommend to anyone.

Took the ferry across the Mersey.............and back!. A great trip and very informative. The trip took 50 minutes and we enjoyed every minute of it. There is even a café on board serving beverages and hot food. Whilst the choice of food may be limited, it was hot and tasty and totally complemented the trip. The views of Liverpool and... More
