I only visited The Collection side. It was a lovely place, with a nice timeline layout of the history of Lincolnshire. There are a lot of places where kids and adults can interact with the exhibits which really helps to bring to life the history. The only negative I can think of for The Collection was the prices in the... More

I visited this museum with my brother-in-law who was on holiday from the US. We had been to the castle and the tour guide suggested we also visit the Collection. Although I had been in the area numerous times I had never thought to visit. It proved to be one of the most interesting museums I have ever visited. Filled... More

Having visited Lincoln during the busiest time of its year (Christmas Market), we found this museum to be an oasis of peace in the rush. The exhibits are well maintained and informative but the museum is situated in a small building so it's probably not best to visit the City simply for this attraction but to make it part of... More

I took time out from the Lincoln Christmas Market to visit the city's Usher Art Gallery. It was Sunday 7th December; I'm not sure if the Gallery is open on normal Sundays. (A Google search would give you opening hours.) This is a very smart building over the road from the museum. I enjoyed looking at Lowry's painting of Lincoln,... More

Had passed by on previous visits as plenty of others things to see and do, shouldnt have left it so long as there is loads to see here. Liked the timeline in the main hall really easy to follow. It really is amazing to see some of the artifacts and how old some of them are. The stories behind some... More

This place is brilliant if you like history and haven't got hours and hours. The exhibitions are well laid out and there are things you can walk over, pick up and interact with. I enjoyed going on my own to have a proper look at everything. Initially I took my 4 year old son, who loved it but has the... More

Quite an eclectic range of treasures. Good long case clocks, if you're into that sort of thing! There were more galleries but we needed coffee and a dit down!

Besides having an excellent interpretation of Lincoln history, this museum has a mission to engage children in exploration. What's best is that it's FREE! Don't miss this opportunity to learn about Lincoln and its place in history!

Full of interesting information and we specifically went to see a film. Not only was it free but it was brilliant. Perfect location to visit, it includes a lovely cafe, very friendly staff and really worth a visit.
