Some excellent pieces in this gallery. Do not expect a provincial gallery like the ones in larger cities, this is quite a small, intimate display of diverse items for the Usher collection alongside recent commissions. Two good Grayson Perry vases and a Lowry of Lincoln which are worth seeing. Don't miss the amazing chandelier of sea washed plastic. Sounds awful,... More

A lovely free museum with a great archeological section. The roman finds are stunning especially the mosaic floor that was actually found underneath the building. Something for everyone and a café to boot.

A good, central location and a modern building. Nice restaurant. Sufficient detail on the exhibits not to get too boring. Seemed to provide well for children.

Never visited a gallery before so it was an interesting experience. The artwork in so many forms, paintings, marbles, jewellery, porcelain/ceramics, clocks and watches and the modern of course. Not a long visit unless you are heavily into looking at everything in close detail. Two floors but not chock full of exhibits, so airy and contemporary and an easy walk... More

This was my first visit to this location, I was on a day trip to Lincoln taking the bus to Burton Rd and walking back down town taking in various places of interest on route. The main purpose of my visit was to see the display of Roman,s in Lincoln. The displays were very interesting with a wonderful diorama of... More

The museum and the Usher Gallery have both been transformed in recent years. A very pleasant way to kill an hour or two and the Stokes cafe at the collection is very good.

Well designed museum pitched at just the right level (assumes you have some historical knowledge/reference points but not too academic). Excellent café.
