Excellent golf as ever combined with a lovely hotel. I went in a group of 8 to celebrate my 50th birthday. We all enjoyed the golf, even the cavernous bunkers on the hotchkin and upturned saucer green on the bracken!

I do not understand what the last reviewer is talking about we have just had 59 people at the golf Union for a Charter Lunch and what a splendid lunch it consisted of three high quality, tasty ,well presented food. Glutton free people were also catered for by this professional team. The girls serving were quick, polite and very accommodating.... More

Food here very poor when one considers it is the home of the English Golf Union - really, they should do better than this!

The Hotchkin course is a real test of golf - the course is beautifully maintained but make sure you don't forget your sand wedge. Many of the bunkers are cavernous and capable of ruining a score. You are guaranteed to enjoy your round even if the course wins!

Booked a Sunday Driver package through Golfbreaks which included both courses and B&B at The Inn Hotel. Great value at £159.00 The Hotchkin is a truly wonderful Heathland courses and a great test of Golf, the starter let us play off the White tees which made for a memorable day and a few nerve racking drives. The Bracken is a... More

Played both courses as part of an annual golf tour, with a day elsewhere in between. Had a group chipping/bunker lesson at the Academy first, which proved very useful especially getting out of a monstrous bunker on the Hotchkin 5th hole to scramble my par. Our group ranged from 10-26 handicaps and all managed to get round playing off yellow tees... More

I have had the pleasure of playing the Hotchkin course twice now and it is a truest incredible golf course! The one thing I have stopped doing is trying to put a value on the golf courses every time I go over to England and Scotland. Because you can't!! It is we're is started , just look at the original... Two golf courses, both first class , vastly different in design and concept and a joy to play although tough. On the Hodgkin you have the length, the heather and the gigantic bunkers to contend with. On our trip on a cold April day we had the biting wind as well. There is always one hole you want to play... More

I have been lucky enough to play golf at Woodhall Spa a few times. The Hotchkin course is without question a very special place to play golf. Every hole on the course is interesting and a real test. You can understand why it is in the top 10 in Britain. It is worth saying it is not for a high... More

I have played both courses many times in open competitions. They are both fantastic, such good value for money if playing in a comp. Although this weekend the snow, cold and very strong easterly wind took the edge of it, it was still an enjoyable three days of golf. This golf venue is rated very highly in the golfing world,...
