It is not often I write to express my gratitude about an event but after our experience at Doddington Hall on Saturday for the Tenors Unlimited evening with dinner , I believe it is warranted. I have to say that the evening was out of this world. The whole event from the venue, the quality of the food, the organisation... More

I booked an intimate table for 12 people on Saturday 14 February for an evening of good food and excellent entertainment. Tenors Unlimited did three well timed sets entertaining us with a variety of classic songs and their unique sense of humour. The service was as attentive as one usually expects at Doddington, providing a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening.... More

Yes the food is average and overpriced but the staff are attentive and it is a good environment overall. However the real value is going around the fantastic house. It is packed full with great stories and the staff are very knowledgable staff both young and mature and is one of very few places around Lincoln where this type of... More

Parking can be a messy, lots of mud so beware. Food rather expensive but there is always a big queue, so if you want lunch, or even a cup of tea, get there early. Shop ok, plenty of "different" food items

Went last Sunday as my other half watched Saturday Kitchen, and got it into his head he wanted to cook a stew with beef short ribs. Went to the butchers in the shop who explained that short rib is dependant on the way the cow is slaughtered, he didn't have any available, but to call ahead next time. We bought... More

We visited in December when the Hall was 'decked out' for Christmas and the price was very fair. Each room for themed and not overly-done. There was a lot to interest us, and both staff and volunteers were helpful and friendly. We've been to many stately homes, but this one struck us by it's 'family' feel, clearly well kept and... We visit Doddington Hall fairly regularly because it offers a personal twist to the recent Downton Abbey phenomenon of the stately home: the house has never been sold since Elizabethan times and the personal attention to detail of the artistic present owner combines this with a hands on approach. We have seen them around the place, getting stuck in with... More
