Had the day off and went to the lovely Doddington Hall for some breakfast. Not cheap but good quality! Gets busy very quickly so have to be there early! Very tasty sausage bap with a nice granary roll and proper Lincolnshire sausages which you can also purchase from the farm shop. Well worth going! Thank you Doddington Hall.

Took a group to Doddington Hall - the guides took us around the house and were very good and very helpful. Interesting history and some surprising rooms - the Tent room is very unusual. Outside there is a great farm shop and cafe and some upmarket shops. Highlight for me was the gardens - a view at every point from... More

we visited this week, and fell upon the farm ship and cafe first. Obviously extremely popular that days with an array of fresh veg and meat, and a decent choice of home prepared food at reasonable prices. We had a short walk round the gardens and grounds too, which were lovely.

Doddington Hall is a Tudor building with an interesting history and full of beautiful antiques as the family have owned it for generations. The family still live in part of it as a private residence. The gardens are worth visiting, although they cannot be compared to the beautiful gardens at Gunby Hall, the kitchen garden is excellent. Don't miss the... More

This beautiful house has an award winning farm shop and gardens and beautiful gardens. Don't bother with the audio guide as it is full of silly nonsense - rely on the room guides who are all very knowledgeable and helpful. A joy to visit.

Took my little granddaughter for lunch late in December. A lovely time was had. Staff were very helpful and the food was good. The added attraction of the Christmas decorations, the Trees for sale and the bauble barn made a nice day out.

We spent a lot longer here than we had intended to because the house was fascinating, the gardens pleasant, the café tempting and the farm shop interesting. We used the hand sets to guide us around although frequently spoke to the helpful, friendly volunteers around the house too. The narration was put together really well to make it informative and... We didn't visit the Hall, but enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon in the gardens and park. Beautiful bluebells. You can walk quite a long way, if inclined. Super scones in the restaurant.

This was our first visit to Doddingtom Hall and we were disappointed as we arrived to find that the hall is no longer open for the hours which have been advertised for this year, so our visit to the hall, garden and tea room had to fit into 90 minutes as against 150 minutes. What is the matter with Lincolnshire... More
