If you are looking for something to do for a couple of hours I would recommend going here. Food available to feed the animals for a very small fee, picnic area and undercover too. There is also a small park and nature trail. There are points at the farm which give you information about the animals. The cafe on site... More

Always enjoy our visits here. It's a great little farm for children of all ages. My 3 are 2, 7 and 11 and all enjoy it equally. Lots of interesting animals and the added commentary as you go round is a nice touch. All in all highly recommended.

My first visit, even though I live nearby. The animals were well presented, and looked well cared for. The cafe was also impressive, with a good selection, and friendly service.

I took my 2 young granddaughters there for the afternoon. They loved the different animals, they got to stroke some of the lambs. Then they milked the pretend cow. It really is a lovely little place which isn't expensive. And if you live in or on the outskirts of Leicester, it's not too far to travel.

I've been taking my nieces and nephews to Gorse Hill City Farm for years and it's still an enjoyable experience. It's a very small little farm with adjoining cafe and play area so you can easily spend half a day watching the animals, having lunch in the play area and going around more time!. Parking is up the steep hill... More

Went with my fiance, and his nephews and neice and was absolutely amazing! The staff were great and all the animals came up to you for a stroke and some feed. Definitely recommend for a few hours out!

Vital attraction for local children. The café is a dive and woefully dated, but that aside the farm is wonderful. Gorse Hill is a mile down the road from Beaumont Leys, a deprived area of Leicester. It’s always heartening to see young kids from poor homes being exposed to farm yard animals. The pigs, goats, chickens etc are all kept... More
