Always enjoy a quick visit to the Cathedral in Leicester. As an Anglican in canada, it's good to get back to the Roots of my denomination

Not very big but worth a visit if you like cathedrals. Work being done to move Richard III in. There is a coffee shop and book shop nearby. Wonderful welcome from a lovely volunteer, she was very helpful and welcoming. Made the visit for us. Thank you. Friday 14/11/2014 at 11am.

We were made welcome with coffee and home made cakes- a great variety on offer. The cathedral is undergoing renovation to accommodate Richard 3rd, but there is still a caring community to welcome you each day

preparations are going ahead for the bones of King Richard 3rd. to be placed in a tomb, being prepared for spring 2015. Local members of the church, help visitors and explain what changes are happening inside the church. A wonderful exhibition across the square gives a marvellous view of medieval life and a view of the kings first resting place.

It is a very small cathedral, having never been intended to be used as anything other than a parish church. The architecture is unusual. A lot of effort is being made with... More

Cathedral right over road from Visitor Centre, and will be the final resting place of King Richard 111.Because of this, most of it is closed for viewing. There is a rather confusing photograph of how it will look when re opened.together with an image of Richards tomb.Even the guide had trouble describing how it will look.Wait until next March, when everything will all come...
