The area around Fenn lane farm has produced a number of archeological finds suggesting that soldiers were fighting in this area, it was there that the Bosworth Boar was found, a solid silver badge which would have be worn by someone is high rank. The area is overlooked by crown hill, stoke golding where the victorious Henry Tudor was unofficially... More

Just back from a fabulous day trip with two classes of year four children. They say it is the best school trip ever! The guided walks with Pat are excellent, as is the weaponry workshop with Captain Mortimer. Definitely worth a visit if you're studying the Tudors or Plantagenets, everyone is very knowledgeable.

All aspects of the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Center are worth visiting. Particularly if they continue to have a shuttle bus from Market Bosworth to the battle site. There is a wonderful walking tour and an equally informative museum. Plan on at least half a day to do the entire site justice (it's also a great place for a picnic).

I was pleased to hear that you used the minibus link from Market Bosworth to the site - this was run specially for the King Richard III reinterment events More

Visited on a whim without much knowledge of what had happened in the battle. The exhibition was brilliant - hands on, interactive and explained really well. As a grown man I even spent time wearing various bits of armour! Also visited the field and walked around the paths. Definitely worth visiting and thanks to the helpful staff.

There's no shame in dressing up in the armour - I'm tempted every time I walk through the Exhibition Cheers Mark More

We've been there amidst the Richard III re-interment week in March and, yet, were quite astonished that we found the place nearly empty and not at all crowded. What disturbed me most were the modern plastic tents/marquees up on Ambion Hill towards the sundial. I know they had been erected for the the theatre play and the day we visited... More

I don't have any hesitation in recommending a visit to Bosworth. The exhibition in the visitor centre is excellent and there are no shortage of events on throughout the year to keep you occupied. As I'm sure others have pointed out, there is so much on offer it would be easy to spend a fortune. (In fact, I've jokingly described... More

Always wanted to go here but, after the Richard III Centre in Leicester, it was a little disappointing. Needs more maps to show you what you are looking at. Still worth a visit if you are doing the Richard III trip.

The second battle of Bosworth was fought in the front of our car. Why and where - well the why is easy to explain.... the sat nav had not got a clue, the map was less than helpful and the signage from Highways agency starts at the end of the drive..... We travelled for over an hour along back roads... More

The Heritage Centre gives an excellent introduction to the convoluted world of the Plantagenets and background to the Wars of the Roses. The galleries display an impressive range of artefacts, including reproduction weapons and armour, clothing and everyday items. The audio visual presentations about individuals and the battle are excellent. Given the recent reburial of Richard III in Leicester, there... More
