Have been to the Winter Gardens a few times it is an interesting building with a lot of history. The Empress Ballroom in particular has alot of character. The toilet facilities could be better, and there are parts of the building that are looking a bit worse for wear, but on the whole it is worth a visit.

I have been here many times before for dancing competitions and fitness weekends and is one of the most beautiful places, every room has lots of different character, the ceilings are all fantastic.

The whole building is grand but when you look at details then it is looking old and tired, the standards of the toilets are not great and even first thing in the morning they were in a very poor state.

This is a great venue for a convention of this size, the bars and food outlets were not over priced considering such a captive audience

My last visit to the Winter Gardens in Blackpool was in the mid 80's. So, had some catching-up to do. Went for a pre-gig walk in the sea air and up the Tower to stamp around on their glass floor! The Opera House is a classic venue, three levels, massive stage (that is only raised 4 feet) so it's possible... More
