I visited the Waterpark today with my sister and her two boys (aged 9 and 11) and had a wonderful time. It’s a few years since we visited with our own children and I was amazed at how different everything was. There’s lots more water slides and lots more to do. We arrived just after 10 in the morning, and... more

After reading the various reviews i wasn't looking forward to my visit, however i was very surprised by the staffs helpfulness and cleanliness of the place. I agree that the prices are higher than our local baths but it is a waterpark. The day was very enjoyable and my son Ethan loved every minute of it especially the sidewinder and... more

Went to the Sandcastle last week and had an amazing time! The temperature was perfect, the slides were brilliant (if a little scary!), it was immaculately clean and well maintained. Most the staff were excellent, far better than in most tourist attractions in the UK. It may be a little expensive if you have lots of kids (but you don't... more

Took my daughter to the sandcastle and will never do it again. For the price you pay to get in there is no value for money. My daughter could only go on 2 slides and the place was so busy I find it hard to imagine that one of the lifeguards would be able to spot someone in trouble. The... more

We went to the sandcastle all excited as we had heard lots of positive things about it and the website made it out to look very good. As soon as we got there, we was straight into a queue which wasn't long but the service was very slow. I thought that the prices were far too high and the fact... more

We were really looking forward to this waterpark as we usually go to Alton Towers cariba creek and this looked very similar. How wrong, we arrived quite early and made our way to the changing rooms, we used the family changing area which was very small considering most of the visitors here were families. There were no lockers to put... more

I visited the Sandcastle with grandchildren 2 x 16 years 1 x 11 years and 1 x 7 years. I also took a friend who had hearing difficulties who needs extra care. I myself walk with sticks but for the trip was in a wheelchair. I paid and went into the waterpark but it was not suitable for myself due... more

On 31 May 08 we took our chldren, aged 4 and 9 to the Sandcastle for the first time. We read a couple of reviews first and it sounded aweful. Always one to make my own mind up we went anyway. First off there is plenty of parking. We spent 5 hours there and enjoyed ourselves very much. The kids... more

It makes me sad to say that what was once a fantastic experience as part of the magnificent experience of blackpool is now just terrible. It's too small and the extra water rides thta have been installed are EXTRA money even though it's VERY expensive to get in! It's a waterpark that just wants extra money at EVERY available opportunity.... more

The poolside toilets were cleaned to a fashion, when i was there i used both sets of toilets and they both as smelly as each other. My wife and daughter used the ladies and commented on the smell, the food serving areas smelt of old grease and they were poorly ventilated so the smell came back through serving areas. It was very warm in... more
