For an opportunity to have a little peace and quiet and an alternative to the Front I would recommend a visit to the Model Village and Gardens. Okay the railway layouts aren't as good as other model villages but the models have been built with love and care and have a cheeky sense of humour. Look at some of the... More

This attraction is on the edge of Stanley Park in Blackpool. We hadn't been there before but thought we'd try it. I was carer to my disabled adult step-daughter and she was in a wheelchair. When buying tickets, we were told that the village site was disabled-friendly but there were no individual carer concessions. We were shown the wheelchair access... More

Nice walk round, clean toilets and clean, well looked after gardens,we enjoyed looking at the models, all the details and hard work put into these (a little repaint would make them look even better)but they are good, our favourite was the castle, brilliant, loads of benches to take a picnic, enjoyed it,and only £7 each x

We visited this on a Saturday morning and spent a good hour plus answering the quiz. The leaflet guides you round the village with questions along the way. Our 5 and 2 yr olds loved it.

There are some outstanding model villages in England, notably Babbacombe, 5*, Great Yarmouth, 4* and Godshill (Isle of Wight), 4*, Polperro, 3*. Blackpool just isn't in the same league! We visited on a lovely day towards the end of a lovely sunny week at the end of April. The modest lake feature was dirty and water level was about half... More

Enjoyed a nice morning out. Interesting buildings with different periods and characters. Lovely water features. Nice to see the train and tram, the quiz was well laid out and helped to guide us around the place. Reasonably priced and different flavours of Ice cream. Staff are helpful and friendly, toilets very clean. A pity no nighttime illuminations but would definitely... More

Must admit my expectations were low but this turned out to be a really lovely day out with our three young children (6, 2 & 1 yrs). There is so much to see and surprises around every corner. Our two older ones loved trotting around the many curving paths discovering the little houses or not-so-little castle. The paths were fine... More

Enjoyed my visit with a visiting friend but I don't feel I could recommend it for others. Especially families with children. It only takes about 30 minutes to slowly wander around and a lot of the models are desperately in need of a touch up. Also, payment to the attraction does not cover the car park which is owned by...
