As far as zoo's go it was fairly standard but it was the add ons and upgrades that made the difference. For example, you could go and spend 20 mins or so feeding the giraffe's as we did at 10.00 per person. I'm not a fan of zoos in particular. I think there are much better and productive ways to... We live approx 40mins away from Blackpool and decided to join the masses today due to the lovely weather. I was a little sceptical about visiting the zoo but I quickly changed my mind! On arrival the queuing system was well organised to deal with the crowds and we waited less than a few minutes. Good value, although, a season... More

Took my two boys here in October 2014 and had a great time, we all really enjoyed it. More so than Edinburgh zoo. It was easy to navigate round with no hills! and had plenty of animals to see. Took a picnic but bought coffee, drinks and icecream which was fairly priced. Would prefer if the animals had more space... More

Our family have a love of all animals and decided to head to Blackpool Zoo on Easter Sunday, a 2 and a half hour drive: it didn't disappoint. The advantage to booking on line means you can walk through and save money, which we did. The facilities are wonderful and the range of animals was wonderful for the kids to... More

Blackpool zoo is very nice for a day out. Although busy, the zoo is large enough to not feel too cramped by other people. They have a nice selection of animals and good viewing spaces. The only let down was the poor food area which was dirty and not very pleasant.

Lots to do here. Loved sitting outside,a little cold. Watching the birds and monkeys playing. Had a train ride which saved walking and stopped at a play area. Lovely gift shop to end the day

We were really pleased with our day at the zoo. Lots of different species of animals which you could get quite up close to. Immaculate grounds and plenty of eating places. Would defo recommend a visit if your in the area. Car parking is very reasonable too. £2.50 for the whole day!!!!
