There have been some gradual changes over the years. 2 of which I don't like are; moving the main entrance, side ways, FEES FOR THE CAR PARK! It can already be costly for a family visit, including costs of treats. They sometimes offer special rates for locals, it is still a worthy place to visit for an afternoon out.Go via... More

My wife & I returned here after last visiting in 2009 and this was due to a residents half price offer which still cost us £16. I know it is for animal preservation but the full price of £32 just for 2 adults seems dear to me never mind coming as a family though a family ticket online costs £44.55.... More

Went in Easter holidays and it was very busy, although there was plenty of car parking space. Be aware the car park is pay & display! Cost just under £50 for family ticket for 2 adults + 2 children although you can get this slightly cheaper if you pre-book on line. Great day out, lots of interesting animals & displays... More

Enjoy a full day here, a family day out to enjoy all the animals. Look out for the feeding times and watch the sea-lions work for the fish, monkeys run around for their fruit, watch the elephants have a wash, could go on & on & on. Brilliant day out especially if Sun is shining. ADVICE, take a packed lunch... More

We. Busted during Easter holidays and although the zoo in comparison to Chester is relatively small it still holds lots of value for money. My children are 10 and6 and they enjoyed how close proximity the animals are to you. The sea lion shows and penguins were good and plenty of places to picnic. We really enjoyed the day and... More

Every time we go to the Zoo there are new, exciting things to see. Then there are those things which never change, such as the beautiful animals. I love it. Used to work here in the education department so I know the animals are well cared for.

Very enjoyable visit to the Zoo. I have visited the zoo over the past few years and there is a constant programme of refurbishment as some of the older enclosures do look a little tired. This year it is the great Ape enclosure. The zoo is not too big for little feet. Had lunch at the café and it was... More

We went to Blackpool Zoo as a family day out. For two adults and a child it would have cost about £45 which I guess is pretty expensive. Fortunately, we had used Tesco Vouchers to get vouchers for the zoo and only pais about a fiver. The zoo itself seemed to be clean and well run. The big cats had... More

We had great expectations for this zoo, with its attractive website. In reality, it was a great disappointment. The whole site had a tatty, neglected look, with a number of enclosures empty. My 10 year old daughter found the visit very frustrating not being able to view a number of animals because of the crowded viewing areas. The reptile house... More
