Spent a week in Blackpool (see various reviews). Overall we found Blackpool to be very pleasant. Nice people lots to do. Improvements along the prom look really good obviously lots of money spent and still on-going.

Visited on a blustery Sunday afternoon, the promenade is a great improvement, fantastic for a walk, all the usual sights although the fair was a little quiet and there were a few closed up premises, but horror of horrors what on earth were Blackpool thinking of by replacing the lovely old trams ! It was like visiting a stately home... More

For some reason, my review of Blackpool seafront mysteriously 'vanished' with no reason given. I would like to re state that I will not go to the place ever again after visiting en route to the lake district with my wife. The place was populated with dubious looking characters who looked like they were either regular drug users or alchol... More

Ive been to Blackpool on several occassions through the years and always liked it but on a recent daytrip whilst staying at the Lake District we where sadly dissapointed at the filth and the grime of the streets, to make matters worse it seems to have became a stag and hen haven, we arrived around lunchtime and it was absolutely... Blackpool is a great place for both young and old, plenty to do, lots of it undercover if the weather is bad. The new promenade and trams are brilliant, the work done on them is a real improvement.
