I wanted to go onto one of the piers, you have a choice of 3. Here is my advice, don't bother. All of them are dirty, unforgiving places. They just want your money and they will get it by any means.

Being in Blackpool for only the weekend we looked for a show to see on Saturday evening. We decided to visit the show King and Queen on the central pier and enjoyed it so much we are returning in October with relatives to ser it again. A very professional show with two great artists and excellent value at only £10... More

there was some scaffolding on some parts of the pier where renovations were taking place, we enjoyed a stroll, the benches on the pier need some work doing on them as the wooden seating was very rotten in places, as our mobility is poor we have to sit and rest regularly. We had a pint at the pub area towards... More

What a disappointment! This was always my favourite pier as a kid. Nowadays it looks shabby and uncared for. Just a lick of paint would help in some places. It was tired and sad-looking. The 'attractions' seemed to have been there for years and were staffed by disinterested youths. Such a dreadful shame...

Had fun on central pier but is desparartly needs some work doing to the rotting seats/floor. Ate in the cafe and found a lovely hair in my lunch. The fair is good but over priced. Be careful on the crazy frog as we witnessed someone nearly get knocked out by the saftey bars not being safe! And the headrests on... More

Nice to have a wander on the pier but the stall holders are always calling you over and using any method (eg... Aww dont let your child go without a toy...) the old photo shop is amazing and so is the shell shop a few doors down from it. The game stalls are very expensive, minimum £3 a go! All... More

I love blackpool and all its piers but this one doesnt seem to be keeping up to the standards of the others, of the three this one needs a good lick of paint a refresh in the arcade and some solid maintenance of the rides and lights as its looking shabby. Needless to say didnt stay on this one very... More

The best carnie there is Christopher on the knock over the nail booth. He was a typical carnie but seemed genuine and entertaining. Made my daughter feel really special. Love the view of the sea. Rides are great. This is old school Blackpool and a must to see.
