Nice place

Nice place for a stroll, however the arcades need a revamp and it could all do with brightening up. Seems scruffy in a lot of places.

I visit Blackpool many times over the year and each time, the central pier always looks so nice. There's always something going on there when in season and lots of fun arcades and amusement rides on the pier itself. So much fun for the family.

Walked to the end of the pier, just like when I was little, played some overpriced, silly fairground stall type games (dart throwing, duck hooking type fun!) Had a bag of chips, finally found two old arcade slot machines with pull down handles - All good nostalgic fun.

I felt really let down when I visited the pier it looks really run down now. The thing that really puts me off ever going back there is the eight or so hook a duck rip off games that you have to walk past to get onto the pier. As soon as you walk past you get shouted at by... More

Piers are part of the seaside tradition. All the piers in Blackpool are v good and worth a visit. The north pier theatre is particularly worth a visit.

I remember visiting the piers as a kid, going on the arcades, having a glass of pop in the family bar, watching people fish off the end. The principles are still the same, but it isold, run-down and lacking soul. It is apparent that the stag/hen demand on Blackpool has shaped its progression. Restoring some of the character of these... More

There are plenty of rides and stalls on central pier. You cannot walk down it without getting tormented by the people on the games stalls which is annoying, but at least you can ignore them. If you walk right to the end of the pier, even on a calm day, for some reason you seem to nearly get blown away... More

The pier needs some major TLC - needs to be reviewed in terms of restoration and a lick of paint! Small fair ride available but again need updating! Hawkers on the stalls drive you mad - shouting you over to play the games that you can never win on! Arcade area has a good selection of games and the staff... More
