Visited on Easter Sunday with the kids had a great walk and Easter nature trail with clues, an Easter egg prize! Great access to lake loads to do on the lake, horses and tree top climb, with free entry if you just want to walk or picnic.

Children of all ages will love it here. Cafe, car park very busy but lots of space inside to enjoy. Good to see its free to enter and the car park is quite reasonable.

Visited with two girls, aged 10 and 8. First time we had done a tree-top trek. What a great experience it was for all of us. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic and really increased our enjoyment of the day. I am not a gushy person, the people here were clearly happy in their work - and it showed.... More

We booked the Treetop Trek for our Son and his friend during the Easter holidays. Our slot was booked for 12pm but due to road works we ran late so I called the centre and a very helpful & friendly assistant moved our time slot to accommodate. On arrival we had a light snack in the restaurant but this wasn't... More

I visited Brockhole today with my wife and two daughters (5 and 1). We had a really good time spending time on the play area and around the grounds. My eldest really enjoyed the pony ride and we all liked the boat trip around the lake. The tree top nets were expensive but good fun, I appreciate that to do... More

I was quite put off by the previous comments and reviews but thought that some might be over exagarating, to be honest there is a lot to be desired. I was travelling with a 2 year old and the soft play house looked like a office conversion!! Dull and not attractive. It looked like a stop over for families with... More

Been up there today as they had a bird watch & Easter hunt for my son. However, arrived at half 11 to be told we can't park there & nearest car park is a mile away. Surely something could have been organised temporarily. I had one disappointed son so we went to fell foot instead again.

Thank you for your review of your visit to Brockhole this week. We are aware that car parking is an issue at Brockhole and are looking at finding a local solution. We are in the process of negotiating the use of nearby car parking and hope this will be available for our visitors in the very near future. More

My kids love things like this and have been on many in this country and abroad. However apart from being the dearest (and certainly not the biggest or the best), although it's advertised that kids under 10 can go, you don't realise until it's too late that they won't let the kids on without a full paying adult! Anywhere else... More

Thank you for your review of your recent visit to Brockhole the Lake District Visitor Centre. Most of your review is about the TreeTop Trek woodland adventure activity, which is run by a third party provider on our site. This is an extremely popular activity and is often booked up well in advance in peak periods. The Visitor Centre does... More

I was planning to go on the Easter holidays but not now because of the parking charge shambles. I have experience of the unreliable nature of number plate recognition systems as l run a haulage company and have successfully defended two incorrect prosecutions using evidence from our vehicle tracking system. They are not infallible as they would have you believe.... More

We are very sorry to hear you have been put off going to Brockhole, the Lake District visitor centre by poor reviews about number plate recognition systems. The Lake District National Park system works very well and is also very reliable. We ask customers to enter their registration on departure and the machine tells you how long you stayed and... More
