great connection by boat to the attraction standing right on the side of Lake Windermere - lovely small park style garden up to rhe house. Was relaxing to sit with a slightly overpriced coffee on the terrace looking down at the water and the occassional gleefully screaming teen on a zip wire. The location is attractive and there's a big... More

We had the impression that this would be a major garden, which it is not. But it was an interesting stop.

Thank you for visiting Brockhole the Lake District Visitor Centre recently. The grounds cover 30 acres and consist of formal gardens designed by Thomas Mawson at the turn of the 20th century. We have plans to renovate the gardens and bring them back to their former glory, but in the meantime our gardener, together with a band of willing volunteers,... More

Beautiful gardens and well maintained but a pity the house isn't utilised more, the exibitions was poor and the only history of the actual building was a small display of photos in the cafe area, I appreciate these places have high maintainable costs but it seems sad that such a grand house built many years ago for a prosperous Manchester... what a lovely afternoon at Brockhole - Lunch on a sunny veranda and a walk around the visitors centre down to the dock and around the gardens - even bought a water colour - it was very busy as you would expect on a sunny summers day - well worth a visit

We went to do a special archery lesson here. Otherwise I wouldn't of bothered. It's quite expensive. The crazy golf is very 'tired' .

Okay so this is a food review. We didn't go for the activities but they do look great for kids. We ate at the cafe and while on holiday didn't mind paying a little for food. So the price is what you expect to pay when there isn't any other place to eat but the food for me was worth... More

Great way to spend a couple of hours. Both young and old enjoyed the activity. The zip wire at the end is fab. Staff were professional. Would recommend and would visit again !

Have been here many times over the years and it has always been lovely, however it has changed a lot. The adventure playground has always been a great place for children but the zip wires right at the entrance is a very noisy space and appeared to be very expensive. If you have either a family or a car load... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent visit to Brockhole. The TreeTop Trek attraction has proved very popular and does attract a lot of people. It was for this reason that it is located around the car park area, leaving large parts of the site for more tranquil pursuits. We are sorry to hear... More
