Lovely place brockhole visitor centre and something to do for all ages from swinging through the trees to having a pick nick in the gardens. Good cafe on site if the weather is wet and you can also get the ferry to Ambleside and bowness.

We're making our way from the North East to Cardiff, and using the M6. I need lots of breaks on a long drive and we found this place to stop close to Preston. Its a nature reserve... Little lake for bird with a visitor centre cafe etc. we visited on a Wednesday and it was very quiet. We had a... More

Treated the kids to a couple of hours at Treetop Nets at Brockhole Visitor Centre during our holidays in the Lakes - had a wonderful time at Treetop Nets, albeit expensive, but had fun and thoroughly enjoyed it so it was worth the money. However, this has been completely overshadowed this morning (18/11) by receiving a parking fine letter dated... More

My 10 year has been nagging to do this for months, so we took the chance when stopping nearby. Great fun, tests your skills and nerve and stretches a few muscles!! Zip wire at the end is fantastic. Afterwards go for lunch in the nearby cafe, great food and coffee

Great place for a nice walk with a lovely Adventure playground for the kids. Parking not cheap (£2 for the first hour then 35p per minute) but free entry so it still makes a good cheap day out.

Thank you for your review of your brilliant time at Brockhole recently. We are really pleased you enjoyed your visit and whilst you state that parking is expensive, its not quite 35p a minute yet! That buys you 20 minutes at Brockhole, making each hour after your first hour £1.05p. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. More

Spent an afternoon doing the tree tops experience with our two daughters. Our youngest daughter was initially quite scared, but our instructor, Craig, was fantastic in coaxing her round the course and she ended up loving it. It is a little bit expensive, but it was a half term treat and well worth it.

Went to Brockhole last weekend with family, which included children aged 11, 7, 4 & 3. Took a picnic and there are plenty of places to eat, including some under cover, which was good considering the weather. The children spent ages in the adventure playground area. Would have paid for the older two to go on treetops nets if the... More
