We stopped off here with our teenage grandson. The gardens were lovely and we strolled around the lake a little, which was beautiful. Decided to have lunch which looked fairly good value. However, after paying for my order and going to collect my coffee, the young lady who served the coffee slapped it down on the counter slopping it into... More

This is a place of outstanding natural beauty. The playground is excellent and has a variety of equipment suitable for all ages, there is plenty of open space to fly a kite, play football or sit and have a picnic. The lake is easily accessible and a great place to paddle, catch tidddlers or hire a boat. It is also... More

Four teenage boys had a super morning on the climbing wall and zip wire. The staff were amazing. We had a giggle with them. The boys loved it. Was disappointed that it was £15 to go in one part of the playground ,which was too much money, so we didn't do that. Grounds as always beautiful .

Indoor soft play area is fantastic, especially the dedicated climbing wall. It is also free. Playground has gots lots to entertain kids from 2 to teenage. Can arrive and depart on boat from Ambleside or Bowness. Parking is very expensive.

A brilliant day! We got the boat from Windermere and it dropped us off at the Jetty for Brockhole, a great start for the kids! What a place! Open space and safe for the kids to run around in. The adventure playground is quite a big one, they can easily get lost in there but such great fun to be... More

There was such a great variety of things to see and do. I took two of my Grandaughters for the day. The tree top trek was brilliant, especially the aerial slide at the end. We had a very pleasant lunch, full of homemade goodies at a very reasonable price. This was followed with a walk around the beautiful grounds and... More

Good place to go to kill an hour or so having a walk in the grounds, or letting the kids play on the outdoor play area. Cafe was decent enough food and not too expensive considering it's the Lake District. Indoor soft play - absolute waste of time, not what I'd expect from the advert. There were horse rides available... More

My husband and I visited here in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. Brockhole is likean adventure playground in a park. It is situated right by the lakeside and you eithr drive to it or catch the boat from Bowness, which makes a stopat this attraction. There is a large grassy area for games, picnics or catching some sun. The centre... More

Loved this visitor centre, it had something for everyone and as the weather was good, it was even better as we could just stroll around in shorts!
