This is a great place to while away an afternoon. Lovely activities, great base for a Windermere boat cruise, fab shop and good value café.

we visited Brockhole on a recommendation from a friend and as we were staying literally 5 mins away we thought why not. We actually went purely for the tree top adventure, which is similar to something like Go Ape and my 2 kids had a ball. The staff there were extremely friendly and very helpful particularly the guys dealing with... More

A great place for tourists: ponies, horses, boats for rent, picnic area, huge gardens and the Go Ape area! Go Ape course is huge. It's the best. A great place for couples, both old and young as well as families. There's a lot of space to accomodate everyone.

We had a lovely family day out with our two boys (aged 3 and 8). You can enjoy a lovely walk alongside lake Windermere, there's a few boat rides to choose from, pony rides, climbing (like Go Ape!), predator experience, a brilliant park, gardens and a cafe. There's also a small indoor bit to the visitor centre with various interesting... More

The children loved the adventure playpark. There was an area for under 7s and an another for 7+ next to it. There is a scramble net up to a high platform with runways along to hideouts and slides. There are monkey bars and smaller slides too, if children are not keen to go up high. There was also a climbing... More

We were staying in a cottage in Troutbeck and it was sunny but very cold so we needed to get the four grand children out and about. The 8 year old and herm other did the 1 hour tree top trek and then the long zip wire ride. We were most impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the... More

great stuff for a day out for free - if you dont pay for the tree top trek or the other paid bits like pony riding (£12 for 15 mins!) or £3.50 in predator park which isnt really a park more of a hut beind a closed gate - there is a free adventure playground which the kids loved and... More

Although difficult to find the 1st time you go there, and the car park is huge, the 1st time i went there it was pouring with rain, and 2-300 meters to the building from the car park ( do not where best shoes ) once you get onto the floating area that has the buildings on it is awesome. The... More

Note - This isn't a review of the Tree Treking activity which looks fun but is a different activity. We visited as a party of 8 with 4 young kids (3 - 6 years) on a rainy day. We got enough sunshine to make it into the adventure playground which was okay. I'm sure the equipment is well used but... More
