Went for a walk with baby which was enjoyable. It was all paved making pushing a pram easy. It was fairly well maintained although the area around the crazy golf was strewn with litter whilst the attendant staff was sat with his feet up enjoying an easy day The cafe looked decent and the indoor kids play area is a... Myself and my partner visited Brockhole Visitor Centre before our journey home from Ambleside after we had spotted people a few days earlier on obstacles through the trees. We went on the 'Treetop Trek' full package which included a 250m zip wire at the end. I'd never had labelled myself as someone that is scared of heights, but after this... More

There is something for everyone at Brockhole, especially for children who are interested in wild life. Great for walks and photo opportunities. You only pay for the car park so it is a cheap day out if you take a picnic.

Although the entrance fee is pricey, this is where you want to bring the little ones when they have tired of looking at lakes, sheep and dry-stone walls. There is a seriously complex tree-level ropes course for teenagers with a super-long zip-line which was as much fun to watch as it was for those riding. Best of all, there's a... More

This place is great for everyone! We were really keen to hire a rowboat, which we managed to in an hour of calmer winds! There's a little trek around with info about Beatrix Potter character's and very nice gardens to sit by with your lunches. But the there's the treetop treks... sorry for sounding like a teenager but OMG it... More

We (four older folks) enjoyed a very pleasant stroll around the lovely gardens but it does cater for the more energetic with a adventure area with tree top walks and a wire slide ( I prefer to keep my feet firmly on the ground now) there is also a play area for younger children and place to get a lovely... Something for most tastes here. A lot of noise from the school parties enjoying the adventure playground and the treetop adventures are popular. For us oldies there are pleasant gardens, a woodland walk and a lakeside stroll. You can catch a boat here. There's even a bird hide. Found a free toilet in the centre ! Worth a stop but... More

This place was awesome. Wish we had taken our granddaughter, who would have loved it. Handy place to catch the ferry on the lake too.
