Nice little walk to the top with amazing views of the lake. Good for nice panoramic photos. Does get a little windy near the top though!

This was a wonderful walk to the top where you will see stunning 360 degree views of the Lake District. I took my dog with me and we had a great hike! Highly recommended!

We did the walk with our two sons aged 9 & 10 years. The walk was relatively easy although quite steep. Only took about 20 minutes from the train station. It is mostly a tarmac path, with a little scramble towards the end. We went at sunset and were the only people there. Stunning views.

Our first destination when we arrived as it was very closed to place we stayed. After short walk you get to a hill with views across the Windermere

We are not hill walkers by any means, but saw the reviews and had to do this. Wouldn't have known to do this otherwise and we found it difficult to find. Just across from the tourist information beside the bus station you start the walk. Took about an hour all round, and we stopped for the usual photos etc at... More

The best walk up the hill is from further up the road rather than from the pedestrian lights entrance.....

Close to Windermere station, and thanks to the owner of the hotel, we got to witness this on our last couple of days there... Phenomenal! About a 25-30 min brisk walk (follow the path). Wear trainers/ boots as it gets muddy with the English weather, and take a good camera - the view is breathtaking!!!!
