Had a fantastic day today with Derek the bus driver, he catered the tour to suit us all not just a get on scripted speel and get off, very informative knew loads about the area (and sheep) obviously loves his job, a great first taste of the Lake District and for seasoned lakers too. A must.

We took a tour called "Southern Lakes, Land of the Authors" and were disappointed. Although we did see Rydal Mount, where Wordsworth spent his later years, we barely saw Dove Cottage from the street. This is the main Wordsworth attraction, and the place where he wrote his most important poetry. We never even saw Beatrice Potter's house from afar, being... More

A good tour, many stops for us to take photos, great value and service, but wish we could have more time in Keswick during lunch because the market is fantastic there!

We asked our Hotel Reception to see if we could get on this trip at the last minute and they came up trumps. The mini-bus driver (Peter) greeted us like long lost friends and then proceeded to take us on a fantastic journey around the Lake District to places we would never have found on our own. We were given... More

We booked a 10 lake tour with mountain goats and our host was Jim. He was outstanding right from the beginning. His knowledge of the surrounding area was exceptional. His attitude and helpfulness was second to none. As these tours can be very tiring his humour always kept us engaged. We saw some fantastic lakes and views from tremendous heights... More

We recently spent a full day on the High Adventure trip, which was excellent. Our driver Graham was very knowledgeable and a considerate, careful driver. The roads were very narrow with very steep inclines but Graham handled them perfectly. Leaving before 10am and returning after 5pm we all felt that the day was excellent value for money.

I had so much fun on this tour. I think it is the best way to spend your time there. I really saw so much of the area. The tour guide was joyful and insightful. Even though high winds cancelled our boat cruise, a museum tour was organised. Autumn/October is a great time to go as the trees were in... More

This was a very good tour. We learned a lot about Beatrix Potter as a person and as an author, and we learned about the other talented members of her family. We traveled to the locales that many of the stories were based on and saw some of her original sketches. The small bus was the right size for the... More
