We were going to visit this museum, but unfortunately it is no longer open and closed quite a while ago apparently.

Great little museum - nothing else like it :-) Only thing that detracted from our visit was a very angry fan of boats who chastised the children in the museum for enjoying themselves when he was making a video - Ah well. There's always one. I imagine he liked his visit too - apart from when he had to chastise... More

Very interesting - especially to all those Steamboat fans like my husband. Good for a dull day or when it's chilly outside.

Visited this Museum on Heritage open day, as the Museum will not be open to the public until 2014. Shown round by enthusiac supporters, explaining all the exhibits. The refurbishments are costing £10M, so they need all your help.

We went ot check out the Steam boat museum to see if the repairs and renovations being done in 2008 have been completed. Unfortunately the November 2009 floods have had a shocking effect on the place. it is still closed and a visit to the Windermere Tourist Information centre by the railway station informed me that the attraction has just...
