We visited Penrith one rainy day and spotted Crafty Monkeys. I was with my 5 year old boy and 2 teenage Girls, the time flew by and before we knew it, it was closing time. Make your own tea/Coffee for small fee :) We chose decoupatch and we are all hooked. Next time we are up in the Lake District... More

Very friendly staff help you to decide the craft of your choice, from painting pottery, to decopatch & lots more. Myself & my 12 year old daughter had a great time decorating 2 decopatch animals. They soon dried & we were able to take them away at the end of our morning. Thoroughly recommend, would be great to go back... More

My 7 year old twins, Maryam and Zaynab really enjoyed making bowls at the pottery wheels and insisted on an additional activity to decorate an elephant and paint a flower dish with just about every colour in Crafty Monkeys! We made a special stop in Penrith on our way back from Edinburgh and were not disappointed with the reviews we... More

Excellent place, friendly and a great way to spend a few hours my 5 yr old daughter loved it and so did I and keeps asking to go back! I'm a local and to have such a great place to take my daughter on my doorstep is fantastic I can't give enough praise to the place and would highly recommend... More

Both my toddler and I enjoyed this immensely. Helpful staff, calm atmosphere, lots of fun and mess. I wish is paid for longer in the car park so we could have stayed more than an hour and a half!

What an amazing place! I visited with my kids aged 5 and 7 and have to say I had as much fun as they did! Great range of craft activities to try, very welcoming and helpful staff and a great atmosphere. My little one loved the play toys which he could have fun with whilst his painting dried and the... If you ever wanted an alternative activity then this is it. The only problem is, once you go once you need to go back again and again because unfortunately it doesn't stay open 24 hours a day!! I was on holiday close by and popped in to craft monkeys as an alternative activity for a bad weather day. Several hours... More

I visited with my boyfriend and wasn't too sure if we'd be welcomed as we were visiting without children. We were instantly made to feel welcome and had so much fun. It really is enjoyable for any age!

The only place I have visited where everyone gets involved, so much better than taking the grandchildren and just simply waiting until they have finished playing. A surprising number of the twenty to thirty age group joining the children and pensioners and having fun and being creative. Staff excellent, very attentive and helpful but no pressure, all in all easily... More
