Wonderful relaxing boat trip around derwent water with 7 options of disembarking and embarking around the lake. We had a lovely morning on a round the lake trip.

My family have recently visited the Lake district and decided to try the Keswick Lauch out. The family ticket cost £23.50 but was worth it. It was a baeutiful day which did help but the trip went all around the Derwentwater lake and was a very relaxing enjoyable trip. Well worth it to view the beautiful lakes.

For a boat trip, it's how you expect, on a sunny day, very crowded. However the trip was enjoyable, we caught the boat from point 4 which was south east of derwent water to Keswick anti clockwise which cost £3.15 each, not bad.. However this boat only comes every hour, if we opted for the every 20 minute boat which... More

My husband and I rode the launch clock wise and got off at stop 4. We walked along the lake to Stop 6 and got on again. It was fun and beautiful. The skippers were personable and friendly!

We loved the way that you stood on a jetty and the launch knew to stop to pick up passengers. It was a great way to see Derwentwater and you could get off at any of the jetties and continue on foot. The launch was clean and you could sit inside or out depending on the weather.

After hiking all day, it was nice to take the Launch back to Keswick. Using the launch to get to some other stops along Derentwater would be a fun way to get around

What a great way to see Derwentwater and the beautiful lake coastline! This is a comfortable launch which cruises around the lake stopping at 6 or 7 points along the way, allowing passengers to disembark and enjoy a stroll around the area, then be picked up by the next boat. We chose to get off at Jetty 4 and walk... More

Been on the launch twice now. Kids love it and it's a great way to see the beautiful scenery around derwent water. Agree with people on here that there should be some sort of commentary. Also it's a bit expensive for what it is it cost us a family of four £19.50. We come to the area quite often to... More

We decide to take the Lake tour on a very wet Friday morning. Having booked our tickets at the boathouse on the lake side we visited the National Trust shop whilst we waited. Queueing on the jetty was rather perilous in the rain however the Keswick Launch staff were there to help us aboard if need be. Once out of... More

Derwentwater has got to be one of the most beautiful of the lakes. The best way to appreciate its beauty and tranquility is to take a sail on one of the Keswick Launches, especially on a warm sunny day; there is no feeling like it. You can relax and take in the beauty of the surrounding countryside and the loveliness... More
