Great concept. Poorly executed. Lovely lake spoiled by a sullen crew. No interaction with the passengers. Treated like cattle. Would have been lovely if we were welcomed aboard or even received a hello! No information about the sights we could see just a recorded safety message. Exactly the same as a bus service for thrice the price.

Visiting Derwentwater we felt that we had to take the boat trip as the thing to do and it turned out to be a super way of seeing the lake and the other landing stages where the boat dropped people off and picked others up, although we did take the round trip. Travelling on a very flat lake with little... More

We had a lovely boat journey from Keswick to Low Brandelhow. it was a beautiful day and the lake calm. We got off at our chosen landing stage with the intention of walking to Nichol End to get the launch back to Keswick only to find that the landing stage was not being used that day. At no time did... The launches on Derwentwater are a fabulous way of exploring the lake. There are usually two boats operating at a time, one going clockwise and one anti-clockwise around the lake. All of the stops give access to lovely walks, both easy or strenuous in nature. High Brandlehow in particular is an idyllic place to get off and spend some time... More

Excellent service. You can choose the clockwise or anticlockwise direction, depending on where you want to get off. Since we did the Haws end- Lodore Falls hike, we took the anticlockwise launch. Haws End is the second stop. Excellent boat service. The lake was gorgeous on the sunny day we had.

Very enjoyable way to see lake, get off at one of the jetties and enjoy the scenery by following the walks around the lake. Boats operate in both clockwise and anti-clockwise direction around the lake every hour. Seats mainly outside but there is some covered seating inside. Can either get a ticket for whole journey around the lake, daily hop-on/hop-off... More

Went on this 50 min boat trip with my mum around the derwent and the views were stunning, it was so relaxing and a lovely way to experience the lake and take lots of photographs. It was £9.75 for an adult ticket but it was worth it and you could hop on and off at different landing stages to see... More

My wife and I enjoyed the 7:30 p.m. Evening Cruise of Derwentwater on July 31st. The cruise was fascinating because during the approximate one hour tour, we were able to see multiple weather changes that had a major impact on the scenery. It would be raining on a portion of the lake while the mountains would be bathed in sunshine.... More

Wonderful relaxing boat trip around derwent water with 7 options of disembarking and embarking around the lake. We had a lovely morning on a round the lake trip.

My family have recently visited the Lake district and decided to try the Keswick Lauch out. The family ticket cost £23.50 but was worth it. It was a baeutiful day which did help but the trip went all around the Derwentwater lake and was a very relaxing enjoyable trip. Well worth it to view the beautiful lakes.
