Went here for a school dance production. Easy parking and accessibility. Close to Keswick centre. Food and drinks a bit pricey. Venue still feels new and modern. Issues with seats on upper levels, it's only a small venue but we felt the seats were higher than needed to be and did feel a bit dizzy cos of the angle looking... More

I managed to get the last three tickets to see Hansel and Gretel with my young grandchildren during half term. The show was superb and the kids (3 and 5) were mesmerised throughout the performance. What I couldn't understand was why there was only one show and this in the small theatre with only about 60 seats. This show would... More

I called in here for lunch on route home from a meeting. I have to say that the food really was rather good but was very over priced for the small portion I was served. The coffee was also really good and the views a worth a visit alone.

A very pleasant cafe, and a good place to set off from for a gentle walk along the lakeside. Lots of parking nearby.

Went to see Peter Pan. We go every year after Christmas - a little treat which takes us back to childhood. The cast of any production (and there are so many!) are always top-notch and it's great that the theatre uses local kids as well. The seating is excellently arranged - neither cramped nor too far apart. The raking ensures... More

......to have such an attraction as the theatre by the Lake which must be the envy of many much larger towns and cities in the UK. I visited this theatre when it was mobile and used to tour around, calling itself, I think, the Century theatre. Now in its permanent home, with a restaurant and bar with a large adjacent... More

We're still glowing after last night's Peter Pan at the the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick. (9th January 2015). Long time fans, we salute artistic director Ian Forrest once again for another triumphant delight. We were spellbound from start to finish - and remain so the morning after. The company so obviously revel in each other and in the... More

The visit to the theatre was a Christmas treat to see Peter Pan. We have visited several times before and I'm pleased to say we enjoy the experience each time. The theatre is quite modern and very well kept. The seating is reasonably comfortable as far as theatres go. The staff are very helpful and polite. The production was cleverly... More
