The Theatre by the Lake provides outstanding entertainment throughout the year but with a varied summer programme (from romantic comedies to modern classics - Shakespeare to Ayckbourn and all points inbteween!) from May to November. We come to Keswick each September and always book in advance to see two or three productions at the theatre. We have seen many different producations and all are higly professional for a fraction of the cost of West End productions or Chichester theatre. We have been visiting this theatre, formally the 'blue box" since the early 1980's. When in England we make a trip to Keswick, even if it isn't in our plans!!! We love this theatre. I would go even if I had seen the play before! more
