Quirky little museum to do something indoors for a while. Will appeal to all ages. Reasonable entry prices reflect that it is a little rundown. Defo recommend

After reading about all the amazing illusions on display here, we were quite disappointed to arrive and find that this was a tiny place on the first floor of a regular building, mostly filled with large print outs of mundane illusions widely circulated on social media or email - such as the "Are both blocks the same size?", "Do you... Arrived at reception to be told that it was extremly busy inside. We accepted that, but were told we couldnt purchase a family ticket and had to pay 3 adults and 1 child, for 17yr old. This was not clear anywhere and given the small size of the museum and the number of people inside - was clearly unreasonable. Hence... More

Good value for money for a good way to spend an hour or so. Does need a bit of money spent on it to bring it back up to how I remember a few years back. Few things not working, marks spoiling illusions, lights out stopping holograms etc. All in all, an enjoyable time.

Lots of amusing varied optical illusions on walls. Some bigger installations where you can take some great pictures. Well stocked gift shop with wide range of related toys and games. Well worth the £3-£4 for an hour of fun.

Went as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids 11 and 16) My Husband was more excited trying to rush to the Anti Gravity Room, then to The ames room. We kept telling him to wait. lol. Lots of mind boggling things to understand. Maybe too many of the same things on the wall where you stare at... More

Lots of optical illusions crammed into a tiny space making it difficult to see the illusions properly when busy (in particular in rainy weather).

We found ourselves in Keswick on a very wet day, and picked up the leaflet for this in Costa so decided to head for a look. It is small and simple but the experience was great fun...for both kids and adults alike. We had fun making different pictures in the three rooms...I won't spool the fun, and had lots of... More

We found this place accidentally and to be honest weren't expecting much, especially for the low price. How wrong we were!!! We all had a brilliant hour looking round the fascinating exhibits......this is definitely worth a look.
