We went on the 'Kimberly Tour' Not a patch on other mine tours I have been on before, such as those in North Wales. The guide spoke mostly of the recent history regarding company struggles with The National Park and about her grand children being away on a skiing holiday at the time of our visit. Not the cheapest place... More

Walked in and tried to buy some slate candleholders but waited for must be 10 mins before a staff member turned up at counter but then went back to serve in cafe. we gave up and left. Also a lot of things were not priced. Such a waste of a prime place. Wants new vision and enterprise to drag into... More

We stopped off at the slate mine for a rest towards the end of Day 2 of the C2C. A nice little change of pace during a day of walking with a good shop and visitor centre. Very cute.

Not for wimps! A head for heights is needed and a relatively decent level of fitness and flexibility, but with those, this a real adrenalin rush day out. Clipped to fixed wires, the route tracks along the fellside high above the road, leading groups up, down and across the rocky hillside on metal ladders and pegs, over rope wires and... More

We had a great time on the via ferrata classic. Our tour guide was superb and helped me (the less expereinced) with the more tricky bits, allowing my partner to fully enjoy his experience. Although hard work, we did ours in the middle of a snow storm, I enjoyed the trip and sense of achievement of reaching the top. great... More

I was a bit apprehensive at first considering the extreme windy weather but that soon disappeared and I've got to say it was the best day out I've ever had! My bf and i did the xtreme, steve was our instructor who was brilliant and even shared his hot chocolate at the top of the mountain. The views were out... More

I need to say first of all that my wife loved it! However, it is not necessarily my cup of tea, although it did provide something interesting to do on a wet and windy day. Definitely worth doing as many people may well find it as enjoyable as my wife did.

We called here on the hop whilst driving along the Honiton pass. There is a lovely cafe where we had super panini's and lovely coffee. Though we didn't go on the mine tour, there is still plenty to see above and the scenery is beautiful.

This is a review for the climbing experience only...the set up is excellent, the staff (our guide was Johnny) brilliant - friendly, funny and professional. The experience....good but not extreme...we enjoyed it but it was over too soon and I was left wanting more and to be truly tested....one big gripe - the value for money....we paid 79 quid and...
